The cycle of hatred 😢

Rcl

Naruto is really smart. He just has adhd and can’t pay attention in a classroom setting 🤣

Arthur Lee

Love the Cycle of Hatred speech, literally started chanting speech when he pinned Naruto down 😅

Do u think nuclear weapons stopped wars? Maybe they did. Nuclear weapons are deterrents that stops encouragement of wars. Pain wants to discipline the world.

Lol, whack-a-molee 🥑🔨 😂. And also, I agree! Naruto isn’t smart in a Shikamaru type of way, but he has definitely repeatedly proved to be an underrated genius in terms of creativity and resourcefulness, even all the way back to the very first episode of part 1 when he was a kid running around the village.

That speech by Pain is one of the most iconic speeches in probably all of anime. It first makes you sympathize with the antagonist, by showing how similar both the sides are. And while the proposed solution is in no terms what we may describe as "perfect peace", it is sort of an effective solution to stop wars. Why has there never been a world war since WW2? One major reason is that all the major world powers today have weapons of mass destruction, which if used fully could wipe out the whole of humanity. This very fact act as a deterrent for any of these nations to have a full on war. Our world today is also maintaining peace through fear. And imagine what would happen if a nuclear attack ever occurs in the future? That fear of nuclear weapons will be strengthened again. THIS is Pain's solution.

You raise an interesting point about how Chiyo could see a possibility of true peace between the leaf and the sand villages. But remember that she got that hope only because of the connection/bond between the younger generation: Naruto and Gaara. Certainly not a common phenomena in the Ninja world, where a ninja cares so deeply for a ninja from another village.

"You strive for your justice... and I strive for mine"

Naruto is what I would call street smart...but if it comes to something bookish or theoretical...then he is not the brightest 😂

I hit my knee on the corner of my table that is an inch too low. And now I too know Pain.

Nagato's reveal is perfect. The transition from Yahiko standing over his captured prey, to pale, crippled, and malnourished Nagato sitting in a DARK place is beautifully done. The symbolism, the phenomenal voice acting, the writing ... I love everything in this scene 👏
