Keep It Zen

Minato ❤️ This Pain situation is so incredibly difficult. There really is no perfect answer. The show has drilled that things are never that Black & White. Naruto’s way is also very dependent on the opposition, if they’re even will to stop and listen before shooting you out of the sky. So even his answer isn’t perfect, being so dependent on how the enemy will respond, however that’s not to say it can’t be the right choice. It reminds me of that situation in the Cold War. Oct 27, 1962... the day countries almost nuked each other to oblivion and triggered WW3. Tensions between countries were still high after WW2 only 17 years prior. One bad situation led to another and because of fear, every government had their hands on the Big RED button, afraid at any second the other countries were about to use it. They were correct. One country had ordered their soldier to fire, to strike them before they could strike us! But that person–Vasili Arkhipov–refused the order, believing and trusting that the other side was equally as scared as them.

That's a beautiful story I never heard. Even if it's incredibly rare, I really want to believe in these kinds of moments...🙏

Naruto mentioned in the first series when talking to Hinata he overcompensates for his low self esteem he tries to hide from anyone else.

Ironically, I don't think Pain understands pain. He believe pain is hatred, but that is not true. Pain is an indication of hurt and fear. It's a persistent feeling of injustice and unfairness. Angry, hatred, and revenge are masking agents to hide our hurt...even from ourselves. And hurt people...hurt people.

Minato left a little bit of his chakra behind in the seal which kind of imparted his consciousness in a way. I'm not sure if you noticed that he said he only sealed HALF the nine tails in him too.
