after watching this movie for the first time i just sat there for hours trying to comprehend what i just watched, shit was fucking insane

btw the series continues, these 3 movies only covered a few arcs, there is a anime adaptation that picks up where these movies let off, (the cgi is really bad, but the story is whats important) you should react to it, you should also read the manga as well, it is currently on hiatus though.

SAME! I was like what the F is going on here!! The strory went from understanding friendship and conquering castles to this new demon world and the horrible prophecy! Hence I recommended her to watch this movie in the end...because I remember I couldn't really focus on anything else the day I watched the movie

Oh yea the way you feel about Griffith, is pretty much where the "Griffith did nothing wrong" meme came from (google it) lol. Some fans feel conflicted about Griffith because of how cool and interesting he is, though "Griffith did nothing wrong" is used sarcastically most of the time

This entire 3 movies that you saw were actually just a prologue to the entire story of Berserk! The manga is still ongoing, but it is far ahead compared to what you saw. The Berserk manga is considered one of the best manga ever! The story and the art, both are amazing! Berserk manga was first adapted into an anime in 1997...which covers the same story upto the point that you saw in the movies. There is a more recent 2016 anime adaptation of Berserk...but that must never be watched! Not only in the cgi horrible but they have not been totally faithful to the characters and the story of the original manga. To be honest, even these three movies were not totally faithful to the manga as a lot of the content was cut, especially the past of Guts..which we did not get at all in the movie...it would have only made you feel more horrible :( We can all hope that we get a better anime adaptation in the future! But if you ever do decide to do manga reactions in the future, I would say that Berserk should be a top choice for it. But let me just say that we don't get rainbow and flowers later in the story either...it is a horrible and a dark story 😨

Sorry to make you feel horrible....but that was the point of the story. This is a story of the lone wolf Guts who finds a new family and a dear friend and a lover....and loses all of them in the worst possible way. His only only friend betrayed him....him family was butchered..and his lover was violated by the person he admired the most...all this while your own injuries are hurting you like hell...watching Guts struggle at the end at the sigh of Casca being violated boils my blood till date 😡 But I guess that was what the author wanted all of us to feel. Horrible isn't it! Thank you for watching this alongside us! Will next time try recommend movies with a more positive end 🙏

Also sorry if I earlier gave the impression if this was the end of the entire story. I actually just meant that it is a replacement for the entire Berserk 1997 anime.

Just to make it clear - the fact that i did not at all expect that ending is not a bad thing!:D It was brutal, horrifying, and dark, but I definitely get the appeal. Sure, I'm always up for happy endings, but every now and then something like this to shake things up is kinda cool😅
