Naruto believes in his NInja way to never give up, Kakashi is defined by the lessons he learnt from his dad and his comrades to save his friends' life over following rules, Sasuke is defined by his need for revenge....and just like that Danzo is defined by the notion of self-sacrificing for the greater good. I was personally touched by the last moments of Danzo. We see what was the catalyst in Danzo's growth: It was Hiruzen....Saturobi had always been ahead of him, he has always been his driving force. He saw Sarutobi become the Hokage and then sacrifice himself for the village. While Danzo does glorify the notion of self-sacrifice, he does truly believe in it...especially when done for the greater good. He died while believing he will take down 2 criminals and threats to the leaf village. For all the shit I give Danzo, I do respect him for what he did in his final moments.....and the last though in his mind was: "What do you think of me HIruzen?" Hope HIruzen can acknowledge his self-sacrifice in the afterlife :'( Also I find that moment very powerful: where the 2nd Hokage tells Sarutobi to protect the leaf village and declares him the next hokage...always gives me goosebumps!

It's weird but it's taken 2 or 3 viewings of this episode now before I noticed the younger Homura and Koharu on Tobiramas team this time around. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention before.

I realize I was too caught up with criticizing Danzo rather than being swayed by his last moments. But I guess that's why I love having comments like yours, to get me out of my own set mind. There's a lot to be said for self-sacrifice, though as always it pains me to see it as a goal for anyone. But Danzo did follow his principles to the end, and his intentions were for the sake of the village. That cannot be taken away from him.

haha understandable. I think I recognized their voice actors right away.

I can't believe I lost to this brat, lmao. That pretty much sums up the fight for you, you could start using those words as a K.O from now on, lol. Btw, Danzo claims he's doing everything for the village and for the shinobi world, yet, he only substantiated that claim on the verge of his death. Of course, we're still talking about how he decided to finally do that after manipulating many other ninjas into his own philosophy. That flashback with the second Hokage, it defined him as a shinobi. He came to the conclusion that his life was more precious, but he wasn't willing to admit that, not until now. That's why his foundation was built on that ideology in the first place. Also, you'll discover some interesting flashbacks about him in the near future. You're za best.

Sakura cannot do anything right. She tried to lie to Naruto, she failed to trick him. She tried to lie to Sasuke. she failed to trick him. She tried to kill Sasuke twice and failed.

Sakura's love for Sasuke at this point is absolutely ridiculous. It was purely infatuation to begin with. Sasuke has never done a single thing to earn her love. He never wanted it, he never tried to get it. After all this time, she still "loves" him when her "love" was only based on his looks. Contrast that with Hinata who loved Naruto because of his ninja way and his determination and attitude.
