Damiester

Haru's going through a Furuichi phase lol. She's been completely brainwashed into thinking that Xam'ds are evil and you can see her integrate herself into the army's programme. It's a weird thought how she completely forgot the reason she wanted to be in the army to begin with. It just goes to show how dangerous a tool propaganda is and the effectiveness of indoctrination within organisations. She held out for a while, but it got to her with the instructors/superiors telling her off everyday. As Midori said, Haru focuses only on the things in front of her. Haru now only wants to please her fellow soldiers.

One of the best parts about this anime is how every character seems alive. There are so many details put into every moment that you don't feel like anything's wasted. Every single character's motivations/personality/strengths/weaknesses are shown efficiently during the narrative.

The fact that Midori managed to screw up twice with her phone calls really got to me this episode lol. She triggered the army's suspicions then went to freaking Furuichi for help when it came to Akiyuki. Like Midori's probably the most accidentally evil person of this particular episode. Furuichi's jealousy is not exactly gonna be "cured". He just enjoyed Haru's pity for a while and said the right things lol. When Akiyuki came back, there's just no way for him to reconcile because Akiyuki'll take everything again or so he thinks lol.
