Well for clarification, Sasuke doesn't want to destroy everyone. Just the Kage, the tailed beasts and Naruto. Sasuke's plan is not very different from Madara. He wants to control everybody and set up things the right way with him as the dictator. He is killing the Kage as punishment because he blames them for creating the circumstances that exist in the ninja world. I mean poor Gaara, didn't do anything. Anyways, a lot of fighting and disputes have been as a result of fighting over tailed beasts so he wants to get rid of them completely. He wants to be the common enemy of all the shinobi world.

I swear I love your Sakura rants even though I disagree with you XD, I do feel in this specific situation Sakura gets a pass what was she supposed to do ? Defeat Sasuke in battle? Stay mute ? Maybe she could've told Sasuke to fuck off lol. But I think much like you, she was hoping that Sasuke had changed an they could go back to being Team 7, Only Naruto has the power an relationship to deal with Sasuke atm, Kakashi was just as helpless in this situation. An since day 1 Sakura's character has revolved around her relationship with Sasuke, for better or worse. Also keep in mind Sasuke doesn't show or tell anyone his true emotions we never really get a insight to how really feels throughout the series, I think that's what makes his an Sakuras relationship completely lopsided, we've only gotten glimpses of it, which is why these upcoming episodes are some of my favorites Just how I view it tho, great reaction cant wait for these last few episodes :D

Well we all knew this was coming from Sasuke. He stays true to his motives till the end. Plus there's a reason why Sasuke put Sakura under a genjutsu. The good side of Sasuke showed up for a moment there. If he didn't put her in a genjutsu, she would've interfere in their fight and get killed in the process. Sasuke said it himself. Sakura's words were affecting him and Sasuke won't allow himself to create bonds again at this point. He pushes that way. Sasuke lost everyone he loved and cared about , so he is scared to connect with people. He doesn't want to lose another person closest to him and get hurt again. That's why Sasuke said to Kakashi: "Perhaps those are the ties to a failed past".

Yes that moment when he stops, you can definitely tell it was getting to him, which is why he retorted with your still annoying, if Sasuke wasnt so clammed up I feel like these moments between him an Sakura wouldn't appear so one sided

What I enjoyed in this war arc (longest arc of Shippuden): - We get to meet some of the characters we liked/loved through the reanimation jutsu who had earlier died: Itachi, Nagato, Zabuza, Minato etc. - Naruto meeting his parents and getting to fill his heart with even more love and happiness. Particularly, getting to fight alongside his dad! - Focus on the characters - either exploring their past or them getting some incredible character development: Obito, Kakashi, Sasuke, Gai, Onoki - Some beautiful fight scenes: Kakashi vs Obito, Obito vs Naruto/Gai/Kakashi, Madara vs 5 kage and an army of Ninja. These fights were either visually appealing, filled with emotion or had some creative battle sequences. - Introduction of Madara as the big baddie. Whenever he was on screen, it made me feel terrified for our side that was facing him. He has such menacing personality and strength! - Reanimated Hokage were excellent “new” characters. In particular I love Hashirama! - The understanding achieved between Naruto and the tailed beast. We no longer see them as monsters as we did at the start of the series! And of course the tailed beast song should be mentioned on this list too :) Now for what I disliked about the arc: - The flashbacks throughout the arc. Seemed super excessive to me...as you noticed we even got flashbacks to literally the previous episode! - The dialogue for many characters was a little cheesy at times. Could have been more polished. - The side characters did not really shine in this arc. I think one exception would be team 10, who got to fight with Asuma, Kinkaku and other reanimations. But other than that I’m disappointed. Poor Sai hardly got any screen-time. Neji’s death did not make the needed impact. Other characters - Lee, Hinata, Shino, Kiba…were mostly ignored as well - Madara going down just like that and being replaced with a new antagonist...for whom there was very little foreshadowing, not as strong a backstory, the new villain felt very alien and unhuman.. Would have personally preferred having Madara as the final villain. - The power scaling got a little absurd as we kept making characters stronger and stronger. Sometimes these powers did feel like ass pulls or a little too convenient to the plot. A few examples: Obito temporarily transferring his sharingan to Kakashi, Naruto healing Kakashi’s eye with a touch, Minato being able to use the Kyuubi mode without any training, Obito being able to access Kaguya’s time spaces, and a few more. A few of these I could accept…but when it happens quite a few times, it does start bothering you. Of all the arc this is the one that I probably least enjoyed. There were some great moments that I highlighted earlier, but some of the other problems with it did make for a bitter experience. On the whole I still liked the arc though, no doubt. But it certainly had potential to be better.

I actually had conversations with people right before this all happened in the manga, wherein they suggested that there was probably not going to be some big final fight between these two. It's like, it's a shonen series with a protagonist and an anti-hero... you think not? Also, I think any other story choice no matter how good would have felt like a let down if they didn't just fight.

You guys do not have to agree with me on this. Its just MY opinion. Just thought I should share it here. So.... yaaa......This is probably the first time I have watched this episode in English Dub....... Aaaannnnd I gotta say, I did not like it. I mean obviously the voice acting. When I had first watched Naruto, there were a lot english dub episodes, so I had enjoyed it, and obviously preferred it. But the final 50 or so episodes or so, the English dub were no out yet, so I had to watch Naruto in Japanese, at the time they aired. And I did like the Japanese version. Still, I preferred to watch it in English. But for me this final set of episodes, I had watched only in Japanese till now. And I have watched them atleast 10 times. So now watching it in English for the first time, it just felt weird to me. The voice acting wasn't very good, especially Sasuke's. Sasuke's English actor was just saying it with such arrogance, which the Japanese version, or the actual dialogue, do not really make it seem so. Anyways. Its just a nit-pick for me. I actually used to prefer english dub, but lately, my mind has been changing on it, and I have started to enjoy Japanese version more than English ones. Again, its just me. You guys do not have to agree with me.
