The extra episode is just a short compilation of after the fact interviews. It's fairly short if I'm remembering right considering how many people they speak too. If you don't want to react to it, that's totally fine

"Monkey on your back" is a an American idiom lol. When that guy mentions moving the monkey on your back, you seemed a little lost. Understandably so! It generally means when something won't go away and is causing you stress. "I need to quit smoking, nicotine is a monkey on my back". That was an awful example 😆😅, but hopefully you'll get what I mean lol. The discussion about the chimpanzees towards the end of the episode was chronologically towards the end as well. When he left with his most recent husband before he was arrested was when talks about being blinded by having a zoo. The term "railroaded" is another idiom we use to describe more or less what happened to Joe. One federal agency(US Fish & Wildlife) when after him for murder for hire. When it seemed the government no longer had probable cause the FBI comes in and charges him with animal cruelty. By combining those charges Joe was basically screwed because if they found him guilty of animal abuse they would therefore find him guilty of murder for hire. If they were two seperate cases he probably would not have been found guilty of murder for hire. The government intentionally added the charges together. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the US legal system, but even if he did something illegal (which we all know he did) he is considered innocent until the government can prove him guilty in a court of law by a jury. There's 12 people in a jury, and if 11 say guilty and 1 says not guilty, that's it. Case over, he's proven innocent. There's different variations and rules but that's that simple foundation of it. That's why Carole's husband was worried about just one person taking Joe's side. Or at very least, not taking the governments. The personality of Carole is something we call "holier-than-thou". Sanctimonious and preachy basically.

When that larger gentleman was riding "off into the sunset" on his jetski and the kinda rock-like music started playing it was a joke😆😂. The song that started playing is a wildly popular American song from the 70s or 80s called "Eye of the Tiger" and I think it's safe to say most Americans, even like older kids and teens know that song by just that little intro🤣 lmao. Okay, sorry for spamming comments! Thanks for the reaction!^^
