Abe, Tajima and Mihashi were obviously the MVPs, but everyone did their part. I love how every character on the lineup actually contributed to each point and defence. I hope you eventually get to know each of the lineup members well, but the first 5 batters are the most important outside of the pitching pair. -Izumi (switch hitter/ambidextrous) -Sakaeguchi (bunt master/light haired nicest guy/lost his mother at a young age (manga)) -Suyama (skilled all-rounder with a tall build) -Tajima (national class) -Hanai (captain/2nd best all-rounder behind Tajima)

The reason Junta couldn't throw his forkball was cause of the rain. I'm pretty sure there was one pitch where he actually threw a deadball (hitting an opponent with a pitch) and decided to test it out in the bullpen. They decided everything else was fine, but the forkball was too risky.

I honestly feel extremely sorry for the Tousei team being beaten by a no-name first years only opponent. Their careers as baseball players would be heavily affected and the feeling of regret will follow them for a long time. Junta and Kawai's relationship was also pretty sweet if not bitter.

Nobody other than Tajima managed to even touch Junta's sinker. That's how talented he is lol
