It started don't believe in yourself, belive in me that believes in you then it became believe in the simone that believes in you. He died to early is definitely how i felt, i didn't see it coming i thought it was gonna be Kamina and Simone to the end.

That's why at the end Kamina tells Simon, to believe in the Simon that believes in Simon, not his usual, believe in the Kamina that believes in Simon, pretty much telling him you gotta start believing in yourself an not just in me, nice touch. And yea this was one of the first animes I saw as a kid that had a shocking twist like that, I was so unprepared for that, reminds of what happened to Eren in the beginning of Aot

Me too, for sure! Or at the very least, if Kamina were to die, I would never have figured it to happen so soon. Usually important characters die toward the ending of a show, when the stakes are really high and it's the big final showdown or something - made this totally unexpected! And sad:(

Oh wow, seeing something like this as a kid - that must have been a blow. I can't even imagine! Scarring😱😱 Right - Eren's death was a shock for sure! Yet in some part of me I couldn't really REALLY believe that he died. And he didn't. Here I feel like Kamina really did die...:(
