So on episode 11, the opponent catcher was hesitant in running to 1st base because of his previous risky plays that caused injuries. His guilt is catching up to him big time. It's really sad that a highschooler is worrying about these matters when he's a very good player without the illegal plays.

As usual, I love the details given to the opponent's team. The 2nd pitcher Takumi is a one-trick pony with a fast fastball. That's why the opponent catcher knew that he wouldn't get another chance in the tournament after this. He really wanted to allow this decent pitcher to pitch as much as possible.

This is the 2nd time in 4 games that Nishiura played a competent team. They barely won the first time and loses so badly this time. It's a realistic outlook on how a new team would be in the tournament. The most important part is that EVERYONE on the team gets their moments. Sakaeguchi (nice guy)'s intelligent batting, Izumi (freckles)'s overall brilliance, Nishihiro's first time playing in a game and Mizutani's confidence etc.

Tajima is talented, but completely hopeless against a team that Abe has figured out. It goes to show how important Abe is to the team as the most intelligent player. As you've noted, Mihashi used to always blame Abe internally for everything because he also gives him credit for everything. Now he realises that he's the actual leader of the team and needs to show everyone his confidence.

The camera work on episode 12 was amazing. The way it follows the player or the ball, the way it pans, the first-person perspective etc... it works really well for the action scenes.

Nishihiro's a reserve who never gets to play in games and his first official game was in this situation. It's as rough as it can be lol being the last batter to be struck out in a loss.
