2 things: this arc was thought up by Kishimoto as a way to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the series. It’s essentially nostalgic fan service. I believe this was suppose to be a movie but became anime exclusive like the Power arc Boruto & Sasuke’s gear is inspired by Back to the Future also the ‘traveling performers’ thing was suppose to be a reference to Lightning Group from his arc at the end of Shippuden since that’s what they used as well

This arc does feel like a fan fiction but a cool concept, it wasn't in the manga or anything so not like anything overly important or critical lmao, but this was made by Kishimoto to celebrate Naruto's 20th Manga Anniversary, so we get to have Boruto revisit the Original world/series of Naruto in a way! Also, speaking of their clothing, they are inspired from the movie called "Back to the Future." Boruto is wearing Marty's gear and Sasuke inspired from Emmett Brown from the same movie, when he had a cowboy gear on. Idk if that's a play to Sasuke, since he always had cowboy theme songs in OG and Shippuden (this one is speculation lol) but that's what their clothing is inspired from 😆

Yea your definitely over thinking it lol, it's supposed to be a fun fan servicey arc, just try an enjoy it as that an you'll be OK 😄 That moment between kid naruto an boruto as they slept, the feels 😭

that landing boruto did exiting the gate in 128 should not be survivable.. It must have done something to his brain to completely disregard the turtle's advice for not messing up the future lol

Tsunade: A genin has deserted the village! Sasuke: That's nuts!!😜 Anyway, love how Sasuke gets away everytime he sees Sakura😂 And that talk between Naruto/Boruto on the end was too good. The nostalgia in this arc is off the roof.

I honestly think anyone pretending to be anything always said they were travelling performers. Maybe I'm exaggerating. But I do think there was at least another episode where some woman pretended to be a performer when she was actually a spy. Then again, I think it was a filler. So fair enough. Also: Sasuke. Looking basically like a mourner in a funeral or something. Travelling performer. I mean, pffffffft.

First of all, so many feels now I finally watch this again in your reaction. Secondly, yes the combination of Sasuke being conveniently nerfed and underpowered is so tropey I have to say but yeah, definitely in this arc it feels like he suddenly became incredibly dense for no reason other than to ensure Boruto/Naruto got the spotlight together. Missing brain cells indeed. Also, what do you mean you haven't seen Back To The Future?! I will have to remember to suggest it down the line once you have chewed through more of your movie list lol.
