Oh my god I enjoyed this first episode so much, it's illegal. Everything's so beautiful! Also it was cool to see the beginning again and realize how much of it I'd forgotten😅😅

Luffy's actor is full Mexican and from Mexico. Zoro's actor is full Japanese although the actor was raised in the US. Nami's actress is American. Oda did answer many years ago what nationalities/ethnicities the Straw Hat crew would be: Luffy was Brazilian. (So a different kind of Latino still) Zoro was Japanese. Nami was Swedish. Sanji was French. Usopp was African. Chopper was Canadian. ----- I won't say what the other crew members' nationalities were as you aren't that far yet.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this as much as I did. The actor for Sanji is the son of a super famous and popular Japanese actor Sonny Chiba so I guess it's in the blood. Also I think you will find the actor for Buggy pretty familiar if you have (pretty sure you have) watched the last couple of seasons of Agents Of Shield. Honestly I think the production value is there in full given the season was more costly to make than most seasons of Game of Thrones if you can believe it. The set design really shows where a lot of that money was spent, and honestly even the VFX for the most part is pretty solid. I think the choices for what to cut were absolutely fine in terms of making sure the pacing was just right. The biggest reason for its success overall was in my opinion the heavy involvement of Oda himself mostly having to sign off on most of the changes and even stepping in to make changes himself to the writing or action amongst other things including I believe the casting process. The choices for all the actors are also perfect I think, especially the main crew. Even Oda himself was completely on board with Iñaki from what I saw in this very wholesome video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea6NieliCIU&pp=ygUPaW5ha2kgbWVldHMgb2Rh Anyway I can't wait to see how you feel about the future episodes. :D
