Ah, I've both been looking forward to and dreading this reaction 😅 It was a great watch, and you had a very thoughtful discussion! Yeah, to build on what you alluded to in your discussion, this episode is a giant reference to the Hana Kimura suicide. I heard (emphasis on -heard-) that a lot of the tweets in the episode itself are directly lifted from the harassment she received. There's actually a messed up controversy about this aspect that I don't recomend looking up unless you want to lose hope in humanity. I imagine you've seen the next episode, so I won't say much on how sudden Aqua's appearance seemed 😅 but as a non-spoiler bit, I think it's implied that, for the days when they shoot, the cast members live more or less together; since they have to travel to places. So, at the very least, he wasn't stalking her house or something 🤣 I read this in a YouTube comment, so this thought isn't my own: but it's actually pretty thoughtful that Akane volunteered to grill the meat when they went out to eat. Since she's a vegetarian and can't eat with the others, this is a polite and inconspicuous way of fitting in with the group. It would just be awkward and would sort of set her aside if she wasn't doing anything related to the actual meal like the others. Mem-cho did mention that she intentionally (and unintentionally haha) portrays herself as an airhead, don't blame her for keeping her devil ears on all the time 😂
