Webtoon in progress + answering a question (Patreon)

Hey folks! 👋 I’m still working on the webtoons and will upload them as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your continued patience while I work on these weekly updates 🙏

In the meantime, I wanted to share an answer to a common question I’ve been getting 💬

A lot of people have asked whether I use Clip Studio or Photoshop to create my webtoons. I thought I’d share my perspective. Personally, I feel that Clip Studio is great for artists who draw everything manually ✍️ If your webtoon involves AI-generated elements, then Photoshop tends to work better... This is just my personal opinion! I’m not claiming it’s the best way!

Of course, photoshop wasn’t originally designed specifically for webtoons and it has its limitations. However, one thing I really like is that if you know JavaScript, you can create your own photoshop plugins ⚙️

I used to work as a WordPress developer before I was laid off. Because of that background, I tend to create my own program. In the picture above, you can see one of the photoshop plugins I have created. I named this plugin a speech bubble generator 💭

If you know JavaScript, you can really customize Photoshop to fit your workflow, and honestly, that’s the part of what makes photoshop better than clipstudio! 😄

Some people have asked if I’m planning to teach others how to be an AI artist… uhmm, what? 😅 I’m still learning how to become a proper AI artist myself, so I’m not sure if I’m at a level where I can teach others yet. But honestly, thank you so much! That really means a lot 🙏

I have thought about maybe teaching how to become an “AI webtoon creator” someday, and even sharing the plugins and browser extensions I’ve developed along the way 💡

But for now, I feel like it’s still too early to call myself a “teacher.” I’m still learning, improving, and figuring things out step by step.

Maybe one day... One I figure many things out of my own, then I could create a full course... but not just yet >.<
