Heetah's recollection is crazy W fr. dude from the flashback looked so familiar and I couldnt place it for the life of me. crazy how that kid was learning breathing techniques, was he trying to become a demon slayer? like hello Himejima is a Hashira?? i wonder if he was trying to become a demon slayer to apologize to himejima eventually, kinda like how genya wants to become a hashira to apologize to his brother.

When I watched this episode I realized how Himejima's back story kinda had some parallels to Younger Toguro's in Yu Yu Hakusho. Both had several youngsters living with them (orphans/students) up in the woods/mountains (temple/dojo), both were noticeably lanky in their younger years, both had all those youngsters slain by a demon (different reasons), both turned up and got wicked strong. Unlike Toguro, Himejima didn't end up as a villain for his experience. I found it fascinating even if it wasn't intentional. And lemme tell you fellas, next episodes gonna have you on the edge of your seats!
