Yea this wasn’t really a showing for Ino or Choji. Which is unfortunate when you consider how involved Sakura was in taking down Sasori. But Shikamaru and Naruto definitely stood on business.

Yeah I love this arc but the Naruto-Kakuzu fight was a bit too cliched for my liking.

For Hidan and Kakuzu to kill Asuma and Choji and Ino to do NOTHIN in return is insane if you think about it. They was acting all grown in front of Tsunade but were useless in the fight. You can't redeem this.

Shikamaru's original plan probably factored them in more before Kakashi turned up, then it just became the Shikamaru and Kakashi show. I felt like there were points in which Ino or Choji could have done more though and I think it's a result of this portion of the story being rushed
