Kuma backstory just started and it’s already crazy.

1) When I saw young Garling in the manga, my first thought was, "that has to be Shanks' daddy". Seeing him animated with blonde hair was off-putting because I was sure it would be red to prove that theory 😜 2) Since Nika is a legend passed down through their heritage, I wonder if the original Joyboy was also a Buccaneer or just allied with them. The giants and Skypieans also worshipped the Sun God. 3) There's a theory that Whitebeard could be a Buccaneer. Saturn said they're an extinct race now, but if Whitebeard was one, that'd possibly make Weevil one as well (if he really is Whitebeard's son, a clone or whatever). When Miss Buckin said she could prove it, I always assumed she meant DNA, but what if it's something to do with being a Buccaneer instead. I haven't thought about Big Mom being one yet, so it's interesting to consider. 4) Poor baby Kuma 😭🐾 They did his family so dirty

truly impressive how Oda comes up with new ways to show that the Celestials (and the WG by extension) are the absolute worst lol, the implication they've been doing these hunts every 3 years for who knows how long is terrifying real happy to be at this backstory now tho, gonna be a good couple of weekends with these eps. Killer reaction + discussion as always, looking forward to the rest!

The anime and manga took a 6+ month break... they had way more than enough time to animate manga content perfectly to where a recap is useless. Ik theyre trying to slow it down bc we are so close to the manga, but again they had plenty time to perfect art and animation

I just realized the Celestial Dragons are deadass wearing space suits. IRL, the circles on the front are ports for oxygen in and C02 out. Usually 2 each. Then the ports on the hips are for power/data and an injection port for water to circulate through the middle layer for cooling. Plus, they're completely sealed in them except the helmets. You think they developed the drip to separate themselves from peasants or its a relic of the old days?
