If he’s so concerned about the Akatsuki not getting their hands on Naruto then why isn’t he out there helping to fight Pain? If the Akatsuki is defeated then no one is capturing Naruto and Danzo isn’t lifting a finger to help with that.

Yea danzo plan 1 would be keep em away. Plan 2 probably KILL naruto. He's a straight up ruthless actual NINJA he would sooner try and send assassin's to poison pain than try to fight him. He fights when he absolutely has to.

Yea since the story shifted to sasuke he hasn't really been in the story at all, I mean he trained naruto and you may need to go watch Kakazu vs Kakashi again cause he put in work on an immortal dude in a 1v4 with his hearts lol

Danzo is ridiculous for this. He's all bout Intel but Foundation members should've been out gathering Intel so he'd know Pain had powers instantly search minds like Ino's dad. He'd know there are at least a handful of people who know where naruto is so he's screwed from the get go. He's snitching by doing nothing. He'll grab his Hokage hat n his ensure n kick back while Pain walks to Toad Mountain. So much for being smart.

Corey Again, Pain is way stronger than some foundation members. Pain destroys everyone who threatens him. Jiraiya barely snuck out info and died in the process. But a random foundation ninja could do better than Jiraiya? Nope. Pain can't get Naruto if he stays in the toad village. Pain's objective is to get Naruto. If Danzo keeps Naruto away, Pain loses, and can't carry out his plan.
