This episode's ending always gives me chills. And the music selection couldnt be any better. Both when Fern stole off on Lugner and when Big Free decended on Aura at the end.

one thing i love about this show is how similar but different demons and elves are ,, they’re both always so monotone and just indifferent to any & everything and always seem like they couldn’t be bothered even when straight up battling someone to the death 😂🔥🔥 also 1:12 love how heatah caught on to how frieren just did that with no staff almost every other reactor misses out on that key detail ,, y’all the goats 💯😤

They did a title drop this episode and its got a double meaning. "Sousou no Frieren," when when written it's two characters both meaning "to bury" and "to send off," and loosely meaning "funeral," together. Everyone thought it's because of Frierens long life when the show started, seeing her friends all die of old age - however it was revealed this episode the demons actually call her that - for the amount of demons she has killed, hence "Frieren the Slayer." Also at around 1:30, when it translates to "one down," with Frieren killing Draht - japan has different words for counting different things. Like there's a different word for counting numbers (1,2,3...), counting age, counting minutes The version frieren used "ippiki,", is for counting small animals, or hunting small animals like rabbits. So for Frieren, Draht was as simple as hunting small animals I really don't know japanese at all so anyone can correct me but it was really cool to read when pointed out
