All Anbu & Root have that tattoo on their arm, idk if it’s officially stated but majority say it’s a death seal, which is supposed to destroy anbu bodies after they die, so enemies can’t claim corpses.

i really appreciate this filler for kinda building on what we already knew. Sarutobi been shady since we found out what danzo was up to and this just shows how not so clearly good vs evil the leaf is compared to the rest of the world. It's why they need a naruto to change it
