I agree that the A Class demons could have looked cooler, have more meat to them. I still can't believe Younger Toguro is a B Class, I feel like he reached A class before he died at least.

Hiei's back story is one of my favorite things in this series. It really shows why he is the way he is. Remember back in maze castle when he killed the Ice beast, he hated the fact that he betrayed his teammate. We see bits of Hiei's ideas on loyalty throughout the show. Then in this episode we see he was essentially betrayed from birth.

See Hiei was never one of those mindless D class demons, he was only that low in power because of the Jagan eye operation. I believe Hiei was born to be a B class demon and then rise however high he is able to.
