Whimfu1 here.

I'm sorry this post doesn't come with a sketch, it's hard to illustrate the differences I'm about to iterate.

I've been trying to workout the shoplifter minigame this week. My two big issues have been balancing the powers and generating random scenarios.  I think the later will greatly influence the former so I want to give out two options for people to consider.

Quick recap of the plot for the minigame: A group of shoplifters have invaded the store Leni works at. Using your incubus powers you must help catch the shoplifters and receive a reward from Leni. These options will deal with the type of puzzle people would prefer.

Option 1: This is the current plan where each day you visit the department store a new shoplifting scenario is rolled. You then need to figure out who is shoplifting, what did they steal, and where are they hiding it.

Option 2: This other idea would remove the random element and replace it with set scenarios. Each shoplifter would have three stages of theft with it increasing each time they're caught. So the first day they stole a purse, second a necklace and watch, third dress with shoes and lingerie.

I want to run this by you as I can see merits to both. Option 1 adds more variety and gameplay to the game. Option 2 has more narrative potential where each shoplifter is stealing certain items that fit them. I'm not going to talk about negatives right now as I want people to go purely on their gut. So please let me know what you think and I will try to run with it for v0.04a.
