Oh my goodness LOL, no I didn't hear about that news but I also don't know what inspired the patron who submitted the original idea - perhaps they can share if they see this :o

Certainly didn't at the time of writing the idea. Mostly inspired by the fact I was getting stressed from coding and the desire to NOT spend hours trying to fix a bug. Also, it was originally suppossed to be a "Manananggal", a vampire like creature in Philippine folklore, but figured that it might not be that well known so defaulted to vampire instead. Thanks for informing us about that article btw. It was a heartwarming read!
