They seem to be implying that the android was the same girl that the Listener mentioned in part one of the audio. I wonder how angsty this will get when she remembers. Standard Cybernetics Eat Your Soul plotline and whatnot.

Man... that flashback sequence hit hard. Its tone of joy and happiness only serves to deepen the grief and despair the MC must be feeling. Ohhh the good ol days, never to be seen again. All that awaits humanity is pain, suffering, and probable extinction if this keeps up. Props to Arkhives for the writing. Also, I wanna know more of the backstory and lore of this. Looking forward to moaaarrrr of this series.

Sad feels indeed D: The background given was along the lines of humans losing control of the AI they developed. The AI eventually gained an awareness and intelligence that became dangerous...and they decided to destroy humanity as a consequence (as for why, I can only speculate - perhaps because they saw humanity as a possible threat? Or because THEY wanted to be the masters of this world mwahaha)
