Now re-watching this, I didn’t realize how early the theme of villains not getting happy endings shows up. This theme will continue on for many seasons. It’s not that Regina doesn’t think she is a villain, she just never considered that because she is a villain, she won’t get her happy ending. It reminds me of insanity-trying something over and over again expecting a different result.

It's a real pleasure to revisit this series which for a long time was my favourite (I literally grew up with it, some people were fans of Vampire Diaries and I was a fan of OUAT). However, I don't know if it's right to ask but the seasons are quite long (over 20 episodes) so maybe you could do a double episode reaction? At least for the last two episodes which at the time were broadcast on the same night? Best from France! :)
