my top right now are Charlie, Blake and Shanna. I would cut lily in a heartbeat. There are hundreds of girls like her. She doesn’t have a unique enough talent to look past the bad attitude. But also I can’t believe Tyler was on the callback list cause he wasn’t in the video AT ALL 😂 and the reason why they kept all of them is not because Taryn left. I’m not gonna spoil it for you but it connects more with a later ep

My homework assignment winner: Nellie or Aylin. My top 3: Blake, Charlie and Nellie. My #1 overall: Blake honestly. My bottom 3: Lily, Mario and Ali. Who I would have cut: Mario or no one. Who I would have cut from their bottom 3: Just based on the LCP: Mario or no one. Seeing the BTS afterwards: Mario. Lily is definitely the most unlikable and she was so convincing as the bully because she probably didn't have to act that much, but she really won me over with her LCP. Her lip-syncing in the video was horrible but honestly to me that's not that important. I rather prefer people actually being able to sing than lip-sync and I disagree that the rest of them were bad at it too. I LOVED Charlie's rendition of Fix You, it's one of my favourite performances from the show. He messed up in the shoot but you could tell he instantly regretted it. I'm also sure he apologised to Mario before and they just didn't show it. Plus, as you said, they're young and still have a lot to learn, but generally they seem very considerate of Mario and are always helping him and guiding him. Speaking of, I like Mario and he definitely has a disadvantage (as well as Ali) but if I had to choose based on the LCP I would cut him because he had the least amount of emotion to me and he has a good voice but not outstanding (and even more so if I take into account what he said after). I'm all for second chances though so I probably would have saved all of them. Honestly I feel like Blake was best overall. He's easily the best actor out of all them (they all did great in the music video though), he was great at showing vulnerability and his solo in the video was really good. Btw he sang Everybody Hurts on Glee when Ryder admitted to being molested by his babysitter (Sam and Artie were the worst in that scene ugh). It irked me when everyone was talking about him being such a nice guy but his abusive nature probably wasn't there yet, at least not out in the open. I also know that abusers can be very charming and nice to other people. Anyways, I love Ali but I didn't feel much vulnerability from her. And I LOVE Nellie and I thought either she or Aylin did best in the HWA but besides her one-on-one session with Cory, I didn't really feel much vulnerability from her either. I cried seeing Cory btw, he just semed like such a sweet guy ❤

Alicia

I love Nellie. I need to check in and see what she's up to these days.

I liked Lily when I first watched the show and I still do though I do see the attitude you are talking about. I do think that her song that they chose for her wasn't a song that shows vulnerability like the songs for other two contestants did. Two weeks in a row they chose songs that were up tempo and do not show real emotion so I do think that because of that it would be a bit unfair to cut her. I thought though that telling them she can do other things and showing her vulnerability was good and needed since they kept chosing songs that didnt't help her at all other than show some of her range.

From what I’ve heard she’s really successful in film. But like set work. She worked on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

I didn't expect to cry when I saw Cory walking out myself, lol. But I always had a soft spot for him and his character on the show. His death hit me pretty hard. Especially as someone who I didn't even know personally. I guess it's just hard when someone passes so young with still so much life left to live and so much talent. I also had my own struggles with addiction. Though not on the same scale he did. But, it still feels like it easy enough could have been me if things continued. One of those things I always think about. Fix You is one of my favorite songs. Even the version sang on Glee. So it threw me off a bit that he changed it up a bit.. but I still liked it! I'm always a fan of people trying to make songs their own. It makes it harder to just compare it to the original. And shows some creativity.

Jennifer Lawrence

This was a bit of a hard episode to watch as someone who grew up being bullied so horribly. Having rocks thrown at me, getting shoved, having things yanked/kicked out of my hands, horrible things said about me constantly, people not wanting to work with me in classes etc. i was crying at one point watching it. Not only because it took me back to that but thinking about it happening to others. When I was in my 20s I had a lot of coworkers who were teenagers who would come to me for advice about bullying, abusive relationships, abusive parental situations etc. I felt like the protective big sister wanting to help all of them when I could only do so much and only knew what I knew myself at that time. Now I'm old enough to have my own teenage children and I feel like I'd want to go all mama bear on those bullies lol. I just always hope I can help others by drawing from my own experiences and maybe bring something positive out of such negative experiences. I saw a quote once about being the person you needed when you were younger. It's something I think about a lot.

Ohh man it was really good seeing Cory "again" after all this time since season 4... he really was the perfect guest mentor for the vulnerability theme of the week

Sabrina Louis

I just love Shanna, Aylin and Nellie's parts in "My life would suck without you"!!! I keep rewinding them lol. Can't wait for next week's episode! Mario says the funniest line ever 😂😂😂

I cry every time I see Cory and Naya, especially as themselves when they're not acting 😭 Addiction runs in my family and I've had times when I've abused prescribtion drugs. I have also struggled with self harm, which not everyone classifies as an addiction but for me it definitely is, and I've attempted suicide three times. So I may not have dealt with alcohol or drug addiction but I can relate to it a lot. And yeah I didn't really understand what Charlie was doing at first but then I really liked it. I think it was so clever and he sounded amazing. I know some people are mad when people change up a song doing a cover but I like when they put their own stamp on it and usually prefer that to just doing it exactly like the original.

Heida

Oh honey I am so sorry 💔 Bullying is awful and way too common. You are helping a lot of people by opening up and giving advice ❤ You don't have to have all the answers either.

Benjamin Smith

I vaguely recall Mario having a low key attitude but wasn’t sure when that was shown. Now I remember. That little snippet of him in the dorm was so unnecessary and I remember not liking him after seeing the attitude from him. I just don’t care for people who talk to others like that. Him and Lily. I would cut them both.

I think that this was one of the best music videos they’ve done so far. True the lip singing wasn’t great but their acting was spot on. I can see why they had to get nitpicky when deciding the bottom 3 My overall favorites are Nellie, Abraham, and Charlie as well. I get why Charlie was in the bottom but they didn’t even acknowledge the fact that they used that take for the final video. I think they all did pretty well this week. Objectively Blake did great but them mentioning that he was surprisingly great at being a physical bully was really forshawdowy and cringy. My bottom would’ve been Lily and Mario. Vocals aside which felt very safe, I feel like we didn’t get to see his acting in the video. His scenes mostly focused on his bullies. And personally, I liked his solo and it doesn’t matter to me if an emotional performance has a ton of movement or not, but he was a bit too rigid. Lily has that attitude and I just don’t feel a connection to her. Tho I’m glad they didn’t eliminate anyone. While some were better than others I don’t think anyone was bad enough to go home. Though some might regret that come next episode. 😬 Talk about 2 sides of the same coin.

I was waiting for this ep with cory Im so glad that you had that reaction of aww cory cause I was the same the first time I watched it after he passed, he so tall and sweet and that half smile he does urgh i can't

fry

cory😭😭😭

fry

i’ve been searching like where they are now cause it’s so interesting to me and came to see that tyler is like really good friends with ariana grande that’s so cool

Cory Stanish

She has a lot of her music that she wrote and recorded online, and she occasionally puts out something new. It's been a minute since she put out a single, but she did send me a personalized video message on Facebook for supporting the last one :)

Cory Stanish

The wildest "where are they now" from Glee Project season 2 was when I was minding my own business watching The Boys, when suddenly: Abraham appeared, playing Kimiko's long-lost brother.

Cory Stanish

Yes? Oh sorry you meant Cory Monteith, my bad :P

fry

ohhh i was wondering why he looked familiar

Jill

I know it doesn't excuse it, but remember: Charlie is on the spectrum and has ADHD and Asperger's., which means he has trouble focusing and understanding what is appropriate socially. So I honestly think he didn't realize the consequences of his actions when he stole the cane. I would have cut Mario. And after the background clip I really want him to go. Did anyone notice Abraham's red hair was missing in the video shoot but there during the Callbacks? That bit of continuity took me out of it for sure.

leonardo herrera

After watching the last performances tell me why I already knew that they were all gonna be called back 😭😭

Asela Shabazz

Seeing Cory walk out hit me like a ton of bricks but this was such a great episode for him to be the mentor on. He could always make me feel for Finn in his most vulnerable moments, even as not the biggest fan of Finn overall.
