I wish more people from this season would have made appearances at least, or gotten roles like had happened with the first season lol. I know Ali appeared in an episode and of course Blake, but I like so many of them. They seemed really excited about the prospect of a Muslim character too. I'm left wondering what that storyline could have been like. Or what could have been for Lily. I hope things went well for the rest of them.

Benjamin Smith

This was so disappointing, I definitely would’ve put Michael in the top 3 instead of Ali. I really don’t like the constant comparison they do between Michael and Blake. This is the season they really should’ve done the multiple winner thing instead of last season.

M Russell

I do think the right ones went through to the final 3! from a writers perspective (not that i am one lol) i can definitely see why those 3 where the finalists... Blake is the most talented actor and the most versatile and "polyfunctional" of the 5, Aylin is kinda the most unique out of the girls, and with Ali you can "right Arties wrongs" OR if they would've wanted to tackle disabilities in a whole other way or like Ryan said to make the disability NOT their main trait🤷🏽‍♂️

Kailey

I feel like in the video lily and Ali were kinda at a disadvantage to begin with. As the love triangle had so much more of a focus and there little story line felt so disconnected and they didn't have as much to do. I think your sometimes a little harsh on Michael, and I feel like the song they gave him for the last chance performance was kinda setting him up to fail.

Kailey

the whole comparison thing is kinda annoying, from what I recall in season 1 they didn't really compare the boys like that and after all 2 of them won the show lol. You also can't help but feel a certain way about Blake watching this back too so its hard despite it being obvious he is talented.

Landon Ballesteros

At this point in the competition I can see why they made the choices that they did. I know Lily was the weakest of the five in the movie trailer shoot, but I really thought she redeemed herself in the last chance performance, so if I had to make a cut it would’ve been Ali and Michael, for the same reason that I just haven’t seen much versatility from Ali. HOWEVER, in hindsight, knowing that we’re about to get the New York plot lines, personally I think Ali would’ve been a fun addition to the New York cast just because she does have such a strong musical theatre voice. But that’s just me! My fave is still Aylin lol.

Benjamin Smith

I totally get everyone has their favorites but I was definitely going into the first season hoping Audrey would also love Cameron like I did and it was hard to see her constantly putting him in her bottom and saying he should’ve been eliminated week after week. So with season 2 I was worried it would be the same with Michael and sadly I was right. It just sucks because they keep hammering how Blake has experience as an actor whereas Michael had zero experience so for me it’s unfair to compare them. Now had Michael had equal footing to Blake and struggled like he did, I would understand the comparison and putting him in the bottom. I have to disagree that growth shouldn’t play a part in deciding who should win, I mean that’s part of why Damian also won last season.

Alicia

Honestly no way Ali should have made it to the final 3 and not Lily.

Ellie

The way Blake screams in Aylin and Michael's faces scared the hell out of me, he really did well with it and it sets my anxiety off so bad I still want to watch that movie, trailer was fun XD

Ellie

@benjamin I completely agree, Cameron and Michael were my favorites and i could see so many amazing stories with who they could be. I understand why who won season 2 did, but I wasn't that enthused. It's so hard to compare these kids because so much experience changes everything and even between ages 18 and 19 there is so much change and growth. Michael is STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL here, It's crazy how much is different once you graduate

Kailey

no exactly like Michael had never acted before and they stated that more then once so I think comparing him to Blake who's already got some experience kinda is unfair on its own. They learned their mistakes from season 1 of not having a acting assignment which I do appreciate that

Lu

same haha

Lu

lily going instead of ali still surprises me

Selma Jabr

I completely agree with you on my bottom 2 and top 3. While Michael really stepped up this episode, overall he is the weakest competitor. Ali is very talented and does play a bitch in glee very well, but I don’t think she got challenged in her acting as much as the others. I think the main reason she stayed is because she finally got to show off her belts. (Despite the song being cut terribly.), and her disability. Blake’s strongest asset is his acting. That’s what got him to the finale. Knowing what we know now, is it any surprise that he is great at portraying a mean, abusive asshole? But I don’t get inspired by him like the others. Everyone was charmed by him and a part of me can’t help and think it’s partly due to him being secretly abusive because the abusers are ones you least expect. Like a facade that’s put up. Aylin is my favorite competitor left. I think that she will make a great addition to the show that is truly different than what’s been shown before. The s4 newbies are echos of the og characters but Aylin would be someone fresh. Lily has grown on me as well. Great voice and acting, and should have been in the finale. I wasn’t surprised by these results because I already knew who made it to the end, but I wasn’t expecting to choose Lily over Ali. Your thoughts at the end definitely changed my mind. It’s clear to everyone who wins but I’m still looking forward to what goes down next week. BTW, didn’t Chris Colfer make an appearance as a guest? Because I swear that I saw a clip of him as a mentor somewhere.

Jill

They said they didn't want to rehash characters and then Blake's character is literally a rehash of Cory's character (football star and competition with his best friend) and Chord (the dyslexia storyline). At this point I think the competition was between Aylin and Blake. All 5 did great jobs this week, and I'm sure the decision was not an easy one but at this point I agree narrowing it down to 3 was a good decision, but in my mind it was between 2. And Aylin would have been a fresh, new character. I'm glad there wasn't a season 3 of TGP. This show... ugh

Turnip Crazy

I knew how this episode was going to go, but it always makes me sad seeing Michael go. In the video shoot for this episode I think they gave him a character he could play on glee. A football player who's sweet and maybe could be a bit nerdy. Over all though if the whole season is accounted for this episode, he would be one of the weaker people, so shouldn't make it to the finale.

fry

the best part of the glee project is zach i love how he is always rooting for everyone it’s cute! also blake is actually a good actor it makes me wonder then why ryder is so bland on glee, and ali played the bitchy promiscuous character on glee in 4x14 and i think she did a really good job

fry

a part of me is glad they didn’t write for a muslim character tbh glee can be so offensive who knows what they would have written and considering how they harped on damian being irish for majority of rory’s character who knows what they would have done with aylin

Jennifer Lawrence

Yeah, when I heard that comment about wanting to write that sort of character for her all I could think about was that I guess they got what they wanted, lol. Even though I don't really like the character (can't blame her for that) I think she really did a good job. Especially considering she seems to be such a likeable and sweet person herself. Also, Yeah... They made Blake rather boring when he's shown he can show a lot of different sides and emotions. But, despite watching the show multiple times through I find myself struggling to remember much about his character or plotlines. Other than him seemingly being the "new Finn" or his love triangle with Marley.

Jennifer Lawrence

I actually had meant to ask in here if lI was the only one who low-key wanted to actually watch that movie? 🤣

Jennifer Lawrence

True. I wouldn't want her turned into some caricature or stereotype. Nor would I want it made her entire personality, as it's only a part of who she is.

Ellie

No me and my sister say all the time it should have been a full length film lmao

Heather

Almost like his “amazing” acting as a violent pos wasn’t even acting 🤔

Asela Shabazz

They had such great potential with the ADHD/Dislexia storyline with him(even though they had already tried & failed at it with Sam) I think the writing team for Season 4 was just super super lazy and completely needed to rethink their choices. All the newest characters from Season 4 had the utmost potential as we can see with how they went on to have pretty good careers outside of Glee

Asela Shabazz

This was absolutely my favorite episode of the series by far, as an actress/cinephile I have a major bias for the acting throughout the show. This is the episode that I remembered the most about, other than who actually made it through to top 3, so I always knew who was making it to at least this episode. I have to say Ali did get the short end of the stick being paired with Lily who just overpowered her during their scenes, but she was the weakest overall performance for me in this episode. I think Michael was always a lot more likable to me on first watch and this rewatch, which was the major thing making him keep up with Blake who was definitely the better actor, I’d personally say they were on par with their singing, it just took extra work for Michael to hit the notes which isn’t unreasonable seeing how little experience he had. Blake had said at the beginning he had been working in the business, auditioning, for the past year before getting on TGP. My overall favorite to win from the group of Top 3 does have to be Aylin, I have always loved her & she really does embody the whole package; singer, actress, dancer, and an inspiring/interesting character
