OMFG this episode! 😭😭 As soon as I saw it was this episode my heart sank as I loved Lexi 😔 Now I'm a Damon girl forever, but this episode - nope! I fucking hate him for what he does to both Caroline and Lexi. When I rewatch the show, I usually conviently go out the room or something when Lexi dies as too sad.

“y’all are telling me i’m gonna like him??? i think not.” i had the SAME reaction about damon (many times lol) the first time i watched this show. it was recommended to me by a friend who is a huge damon fan to this day. i ended up becoming one too. seeing his potential in this episode is tough though because even in such a short time, lexi really grows on you. she's hard not to like! but damon’s character development is pretty impactful, and i can’t wait to see your reaction to him throughout the seasons.

The older the vampire the stronger they are which is why Lexi (350 years old) was stronger than Damon she was turned much longer before him. As far as not burning in the sun and daylight rings they actually can be other things. For instance it can be a necklace, bracelet, etc. It just has to be spelled by a witch. Once the item is taken off they are susceptible to burn in the sun. The show was mega popular when it first came out. Popular enough to spawn a spin off called The Originals and that had enough success it branched off to make Legacies. I recommend watching all 3. I was so mad when I first watched this with Lexi and what Damon did. I won't go any further but just keep your mind open about him. That's all I'll say lol.

I love when you mention Danny (7 Deadly Bananas) I watch him and he is emotional but I love that about him. To address the beginning if we go back to the episode it gave that they were at the end of their intercourse. And that when Damon bit her. Biting her does not mean he compelled her that is just him feeding. Damon did not use compositions until Caroline was standing in the mirror looking at her bite marks asking about him being a vampire. And then Damon compelled her. It was never implied that he compelled her for or during sex therefore he did not r-word her. Now Damon absolutely manipulated, used and verbally abused her for his benefit in getting information and what he wants. But not in a sexual way. I can see how people would think that though. Okay I’m about to watch I just wanted to put my little thoughts into the previous conversation.

Okay, in reference to one of the comments at the beginning of the episode, I don’t think I would say that Damon r*ped Caroline. Yes, he abused her by feeding on her and compelling her, but the only thing he was compelling her for was because of the bite marks and the fact that she found out what he is. Yes, we see her screaming at the end of the episode when Damon first bites her. Then at the start of the following episode, we see her trying to sneak out while he’s sleeping. We can try to assume that Damon r*ped her that night, but without seeing her explicitly telling him no, we can’t know for sure. Plus, I don’t think Damon is that kind of person. Yes, he’s done some really bad things, but nothing like that. The only thing Caroline ever really was scared of were the bite marks. When she’s looking in the mirror as she’s trying to decide what dress to wear to the Founders Party, you can see she’s curious because she asks if they’ll turn her into a vampire. Then when Damon pulls her onto the bed, she asks if he’s gonna kill her. When he says yes, but not yet, she asks why not. Remember, this was immediately after he told her what it takes to become a vampire. So when she asks why not, that makes me think she wants to become a vampire. Any rational person would beg him not to kill them, but Caroline actually asked why he wasn’t planning on killing her sooner. It could be just me, but idk… I don’t think I would call it r*pe.

Did you really comment your spoiler twice? Because there’s people replying to a comment from you that’s been deleted, but here’s one that hasn’t been deleted.. So you either posted two different spoilers, or posted the same one twice. I’m not trying to be rude, but why post a spoiler at all? That ruins the reaction. If people who are watching or reacting for the first time and someone tells them a significant plot line or detail about a character, then that person knows it’s coming and is expecting it so when that part of the show comes, the person’s reaction isn’t as authentic as it should be. The point of a reaction channel is to watch people discover movies, shows, or music for the very first time. I, for instance, personally love to see if people feel the same way I do about whatever they’re reacting to, or if they notice something new that I haven’t even though it’s something that I’ve watched or listened to a thousand times. I can definitely remember the emotions I felt when I first watched this show and it makes me very excited and happy to see Audrey going through the same emotions. But if she knew beforehand what was going to happen, it would actually be kind of boring (no offense, Audrey!) and I would have to ask myself why would I want to pay money to watch someone watch something they’ve already seen when I could just go watch it myself for free. I mean, even during the Glee re-watch, she was discovering new things about it that she hadn’t before and that was exciting too. I just don’t think it’s very nice to post spoilers. It’s called a spoiler for a reason. You wouldn’t want to drink or eat spoiled food, so why would someone want to watch a spoiled show or movie?

Yes she was mind controlled but the writers even said she wasn’t raped. I personally don’t think she was raped yes he abused her but it’s kind of a double standard that the person said Damon raped Caroline but if that’s the case Katherine raped Stefan too
