I’m with you on the ”WTF” when Logan showed up at the end. I said in a previous comment that I remember events in the show, but not the circumstances around them. But I do not remember him coming back!?😱 granted, it was like 10 years since I last saw this, but still. WTF! Did not like him either.

The thing about Damon is he snaps or lashes out when he is hurt. Bonnie/Emily just destroyed the crystal he needed to get Kathrine out. After he held up his end of the deal by protecting her family.

Side note: in an earlier video, you mentioned people not watching to the end. I always watch to the end but sometimes I watch portions of the episode or commentary on 1.25 or 1.5 speed. I notice that it shows on those episodes that I had "4 minutes remaining", etc. I haven't ever noticed that before.

To be honest Damon is right when it comes to the "towns folk". They are still hunting and killing vampires and would definitely kill Bonnie too if they ever found out. Does that mean that they deserve a bunch of old vampires to come and kill them all? Maybe, maybe not 🤷🏻‍♀️, the morals of this show is always fun to think about. I think Matt is so funny and a clumsy with Caroline, I get that they have known each other their entire lives and have been in the same friend group but never really friends, but opening his "Speech" with "I don't like you" is such a dum guy move 😂.

I’ve rewatched this show an embarrassingly amount of times… like if I had to guess.. about 25-35 times all the way through.. with the exception of Season 1. (I always felt it was a slow start. I usually start at Season 2) However, I have enjoyed rewatching Season 1 with you. There are a lot of storylines I forgot about and it’s fun watching the beginning of these characters from what they eventually become. The show is still trying to figure out what their rules are right now in this season. Just enjoy!

To be fair, when Damon attacked Bonnie he was going after Emily, not necessarily Bonnie. That’s why he stepped back and didn’t intervene when Stefan healed her. (Not condoning his actions though)

**MORE BOOK SPOILERS!!!**** • Bonnie does get possessed in the book as well, however it was not by an ancestor, and was not just one time. Instead, it is for very short periods of time and it is by one of the founders of the town, Honoria Fell, who had the same abilities in life that Bonnie’s has, although we don’t find out that it is her until the end of book 2. (She isn’t in the show so I feel safe enough explaining this) She possesses Bonnie to give warnings to Elena in a very creepy cryptic manner and it isn’t just one time. It is bits and pieces through the books. An “Elena, there is someone waiting for you out there!” (Takes place in a cemetery) here and an “ Elena, Death is in this house.” there. Just random short possessions that are scary and creepy. I mean imagine being in the cemetery and being told that someone is waiting for you! • In the show it says that Katherine died in a church due to the Town Council catching her and a bunch of other vampires. In the books though, Katherine gives both Stefan and Damen her blood without either knowing about the other. When they find out, they demand that she must choose between them and she runs off crying. The next morning Stefan goes looking for her and find her ashes, as she had taken off her protective ring. She left the a note saying she couldn’t live with them fighting over her and chose to take herself out of the picture in hopes that they would bond over their grief. Instead they grabbed swords, fought, and ended up killing each other, which is how they became vampires.
