I watched an interview back about 20 years ago when this show was still airing about their eating habits and Lorelai said that in real life, they both are very healthy eaters and if they ate like they pretend to on the show, they'd be 450 pounds lol

I have to say Lorelai definitely needs to work on herself some more at this point, but if I were to choose, I would say it’d be probably be better to be with Luke. And the only reason I say this is because with all the things that she needs to work on on herself, I feel like Luke is the better option because he’s known her for so many years and he understands her on the level that Max doesn’t because Max is still getting to know her and learn more and more about her and understand her ways of doing things that if we’re going for the best for her at this time. It’d probably be Luke. Now going on a scale of like who’s more good looking I agree with you Max is the better option but emotionally wise I’m going with Luke. Although on the other hand, I do have to say emotionally wise on pushing her to get out of her comfort zone. Max is definitely better at that whereas Luke lets her stay where she is and be comfortable whereas Max gets her to open up more see things from a different point of view so I guess in that respect Max would be better but for her mentally right now I would sticking with Luke.

I loved that in this episode Rory talks about a Spanish test as something she had to study for and learn to be good at, when in real life she spoke Spanish for the first six years of her life. Her dad is Argentinian and her mom grew up in Mexico, so they only speak Spanish at home. I saw an episode of a show in which she traveled to Argentina, and her Spanish is really good!

Yes I completely agree Lorelei definitely should not be in any relationship ATM and actually should be going to counseling tbh it would do her the world of good. I'm glad she did identify that she is still learning in the relationship side of things, and she doesn't want Rory to copy that. But yes, we need that drama so blah blah blah 🤣🤣

Elizabeth

I agree that Lorelai really isn’t ready for a relationship right now but I think it’s good that she is experiencing it. I think that she’s been so hyper focused on Rory and her career for so long that she hasn’t really allowed herself to think about what she wants in terms of a relationship, family, marriage, ect. So while she might not be totally invested in Max, he is helping her open that part of herself up.

Am I the only one who thinks that 3 months is too early to say I love you. They were only together for 3 months when Dean said I love you so for him to expect Rory to say back right away seems to be crazy for me and definitely makes me think they don't really know what love is especially since he broke up with her due to her not saying it back right after he said it.

Tyler Explains It All

It's always funny to me every time Rory mentions Spanish because Alexis Bledel's first language is Spanish. Her father is from Argentina, and her mother is from Mexico.

Especially for 16 year olds, three months is so fast to say I love you. But…. all these new hormones are raging clouding their judgement and their brains aren’t fully developed yet so I understand.

Along with the fact that Rory has grown up seeing her mother run from all romantic feelings right in front of her and I think that Lorelai is just now becoming aware of how that is effecting Rory and her relationship with romantic feelings.
