I ADORE "fat Monica" I find her to be the most different out of the other characters. Like it really does feel like a complete other version of Monica without the growth, confidence, OCD and stuff.

Jennifer Aniston’s father in real life was the patriarch of the show Days of Our Lives for 37 years. That’s why they chose that soap opera in particular, just because of that connection. John Aniston was his name. I think that’s why it’s so funny that Rachel is obsessed with the soap opera world and you’ll see that later on as well. it’s kind of funny to see her gauk over Joey who’s on days of our lives when that’s the show her father‘s been the patriarch of for years. In that scene where Joey kisses Hope in the hospital bed, right before Rachel decides to call him at the end of the episode, the actress actually plays Hope on days of our lives and has for decades. So there’s another connection. If you all bear with me, I think this is probably a good conversation to be had since the weight topic DOES come up in these videos quite often, but I think it’s a good conversation if everyone’s willing to have it. This feels like a safe space, so I hope a good conversation can be had. 🤍🫶 The “weight topic” is a bit of a taboo one, and there was just a different mindset in the ’90s. it was the height of Playboy, sports illustrated, magazines, spray tans, modeling was incredibly huge. It was just a time. But the weight topic is also like, yeah, if you’re 500+ pounds, you’re probably not very healthy, and you have people telling you to accept love and treat yourself as if you’re healthy no matter if you’re extremely not healthy, which is a problem. And then you have the opposite side of it where people are looking at Ariana Grande (and a large portion of Hollywood right now) right now, who is skin and bones and looks extremely unwell, and people telling her that she looks amazing, is thriving, and has never looked better. That bothers me. It's like watching another Karen Carpenter of my generation. You could see how skinny she was getting all throughout the “Wicked” promotions but now it’s just her wasting away. You should not be able to see someone’s sternum like that. You can see her body parts to the point of anorexia, and that’s what makes me pissed off because people aren’t acknowledging that. As a millennial, I’ve watched too many people from my generation pass away from mental health issues because conversations weren’t had, and people didn’t want to acknowledge the tough things, especially when you can see someone struggling, but people hide it under the umbrella of “body positivity”. If someone’s healthiest weight is 145 and they’re currently 75 pounds, and all society can tell them is “you're beautiful and you've never looked better” That’s where I draw the line. They need a hug and for someone to tell them that this isn’t healthy and they have support, but a lot of people don’t do that. They just mask reality under the umbrella of “your beautiful at every size” and it’s like… no, no this isn't okay and your body is gonna shut down if you’re one extreme or the other. Something is clearly not right here. She's struggling. I think there’s a discussion on both sides because, in my mind, I literally just want to hug her because she looks so far from okay. And I think it makes me mad on both sides when there can’t be that acknowledgment that sometimes being too big or too small is not healthy. I think society has us in this mindset that every size is beautiful, and while I understand the sentiment and agree with that to a certain extent, sometimes we truly go overboard with that and still tell people that they’re doing great when there are obvious signs that something is wrong. And then you don’t reach people before it’s too late. So again, I understand that it’s a very taboo topic, and there has to be love, acceptance, and body positivity in the middle of all that. But the extremes on both sides are what need to be addressed. Monica is not in the extreme. She was maybe a size 14–16 here, which is NOTHING to freak out about. But there are certain discussions you need to have with people if their life is in danger because of one extreme or the other. And I think that’s really the point that gets lost. Loving somebody and accepting somebody does not mean you have to pretend that everything about their health is okay. You can still tell someone they are beautiful and worthy of love while also acknowledging that they may need help. Those two things can exist at the same time. That’s where I think the conversation needs to be. Not shaming people, not making them feel like they’re less worthy because of their weight, but also not going so far in the other direction that we’re afraid to acknowledge when someone genuinely may not be okay.

What a “twilight-zone-reaction” this was! Not only is the episode about “what-could-have-been”, but now we suddenly only have 135 or 165 days in a year🤣🤣

OMFG Audrey another great reaction, I still hate the fat shaming but hey lets move on! I agree let's celebrate ourselves everyone! Every bit of ourselves and be proud! 🧡🤎💚 OMFG ...amazing! When you said 'the math is not mathing' I laughed so much as that's my brain pretty much everyday! Sometimes the words no word good either 😂 In response to you not getting my bag comment from Dana's comment in 6x13 , you needed to expand it you silly goose! 😂 I was saying to the screen 'come on Audrey ....expand expand!' .....but nope 😂😂😂

Dana (they/them)

I was like “you’re right there… nope” haha that’s okay, her brain has been going through it!

I love alternate universe episodes! I do I agree, confidence matters much more than how you look. I know it can be easier said than done, but owning it is sexy! Phoebe helping Ross with ideas on how to “spice up” his sex life made me laugh. Then when he brought them up to Carol he could barely get them out 😂 but those ideas truly didn’t seem that wild. And with Monica, I’m personally not a huge fan of the concept of virginity. For many reasons, but mainly it can be hard when someone’s “first time” wasn’t consensual. Friends asking “when did you lose your virginity?” and then being flooded with traumatic shit and not being sure how to answer that question can be hard. Though I do think it’s all normal friend conversation. My friends and I know SO MUCH about each others sex lives 😂

Exactly - it just makes it more funny 🤣 xx
