This is such a fun string of episodes with this storyline! I always say Friends paved the way for so many TV shows, because this exact kind of storyline is the sort of thing Modern Family became so famous for. There are so many times you can say Friends did it first, and they truly did. So I hope you just have fun with this one! Here are a couple little behind-the-scenes clips from season one with Jennifer and Courteney. You can really see how close the cast was already, particularly how the boys were just pesky little brothers to all three of the girls. It makes watching these later storylines even more fun knowing how that dynamic had been there from the very beginning. I love friends, but I have always disliked the Ross dating his student storyline, and it's only just hit me that she not even 21 ....ewwww It did not drop until now, and I have watched this so many times I can't believe I did not realise! Just no! Now that would not be allowed full stop and for good reason.

I love your intro song riffs! Ross with the student was gross I agree. I will say I did have it hot for professor more than once, but I never acted on anything. My therapist at the time dug into why I find certain types of people attractive 😂 But the “forbidden love” thing never really hit for me, maybe cause my “love” was already viewed as “forbidden” by many in my life. And I for sure would’ve chosen to stay at Joey’s vs Monica’s. Monica, though super sweet and well intentioned, would stress me out I think. I can be really sensitive to others’ energies. But, I’d like to think she’d understand if I was like, politely, leave me the fuck alone haha. And if I was Chandler, I put in a lot of effort to get you that gig, Joey, and you fucking forgot?! Dude. I’d need to manage my expectations with him for sure 😂
