SwiftViewer

Actually just do Toy Story 1 then 2 then 3, 4, & 5... I have never watch Toy Story 1.. I've watch Toy Story 2 (cant wait to watch that soon) , 3, 4 (I only watched half way), done with 5

Renee

you need to watch toy story 2 before 5 otherwise you won't know what you need to know if that makes sense Hahaha

SwiftViewer

Taylor Swift watch toy story when she's 5 years old

Jess

Watch Toy Story 2 before 5 otherwise some things won’t make sense

Andrea

Agree—Toy Story 2 will be important to watch before Toy Story 5!! You’ll miss some key context and heart of the story of 5 without it. (I’d say 2 & 3, but def at least 2) Love these. Excited to watch this with you. 🫶🏾

You will not understand anything from Toy Story 5 as it’s mainly about a character that is only introduced in the second movie.

Unkn0wn_ 289

All the toy story movies are really good, the second one is kind of important to the fifth one

Amanda Svensson

I wouldn’t mind you reacting the all five of them!🤣 even though it would mean postponing toy story 5😊

TOY STORY (1995) was PIXAR's (and the world's) first ever full computer animated feature. PIXAR began as division of Lucasfilm in 1982, and was later sold to Steve Jobs for $12M. PIXAR's first animated film was LUXO Jr. featuring a lamp and a rubber ball. Both of these item always find their was into PIXAR films along with the number A113, which was a class room at Cal Arts, where some of the founding members of PIXAR attended. The rug pattern in Sid's room is the same as the rug pattern that was used for the horror film THE SHINNING (1980) Wallace Shawn plays Rex. For the song "I Will Go Sailing No More," Randy Newman's voice was replaced in the last measure by voice actor Jess Harnell, because Randy could not hit the high note to his and Disney's satisfaction. However from this viewing, it would seem that Randy's voice has been placed back in for the streaming platform. The films in the series just get better as they go along, and the animation just continues to break new ground and become more elaborate. When this movie came out I was 28 years old an an animator living in Los Angeles. I was asked to join the team in 1994 by animator Mark Oftadal, but turned it down because I had spent eight years trying to get out of the Bay Area, and didn't want to move back. (Big mistake on my part, but I found success in the industry several years later. Audrey, I'm sure your brother could tell you a whole lot more fun facts, but I look forward to rewatching these with you.

I believe this movie came out a month before I turned 3 years old. But I definitely loved this movie growing up. I wish I still had my Toy Story toys. 😭

Lucy

That was awesome - I hadn't seen that in ages, and as an adullt I appreciated the dad jokes hehe P.s I was 9 when this came out xxxx

Savvy

I was in my moms belly 😆 but this was a core childhood movie for me

Dana (they/them)

I was but a fetus when this came out. I haven’t seen it in 20 years or so. An absolute trip to watch as an adult. Sometimes childhood nostalgia leaves me anxious and nauseous but this was oddly comforting. I so enjoyed your reaction and the things you notice, along with all the dad jokes I certainly missed when I was little.

Andrea

Oh, and I was 15 when this came out and I first saw it! Omg, I can’t believe how long this franchise has been around 😳

Kelsey Ryan

I agree you have to watch Toy Story 2 before you watch Toy Story 5. Also I was born the year after this movie came out 1996.

I wasn’teven though of when this movie came out… (wait….. technically I was never actually thought of. LMAO I was an accident) I have 4 sisters and my oldest one was the only one actually born and she was only 3 yrs old 😭😭😭 Also, I think watching ALL of them in order is your safest option. I grew iup with these movies and I can tell you right now the Toy Story sequels are probably the most well put together (story wise) franchises Disney has. You Definitely need to watch 2 for the character introductions especially the character that 5 is mainly about. 3 is Very important for Andy’s Story which will set up the 4th movie. 4 is VERY important with new characters, AND Woody and Bo’s story that continue on 5. (That’s all I can say without spoilers) I think even watching 2 and then going to 5 may also seem VERY confusing. I just know that my brain need to know what’s happening in a movie to get into it and if I watched 1, 2 and then 5 I’d be super confused and regret not watching 3 and 4. I will say 3 is definitely my least favorite bc I don’t like the new character. (He pisses me off), but I do think it’ll be very beneficial for you to understand the story. I hope this helps!! Love the reaction Audrey!!! 😇💕🫶😌

Madeline Jensen

I agree with what you said about watching all of them in order

Karley Harper

Yes watch Toy Story 2 so that you know Jessi
