I have decided to do a new episode extended deep dive after each episode. I will be reading your BTS comments from that episode and going on tangents and researching all the cool stuff from that specific episode. This will happen after each and every episode every week.

So... I need you help!

2026-10-20 10:00 I first saw the actress Malina Pauli Weissman (Briar) in the TV show “A Series of Unfortunate Events” as the character Violet Baudelaire (she was about 13 years old at that time), so seeing her in this took me a minute to realize where I’d seen her before. Olivia Rodrigo (not acting in the show, but her song is featured in this episode) is also a former Disney kid. Tiffani Thiessen (Miss Graves) is 52 years old. I first knew of Tiffani because of a teen/tween TV show called “Alexa and Katie” that came out in 2018 and had 4 seasons. Tiffani was the mom in that TV show. I knew that she had been in other stuff; I just hadn’t ever really watched any of it (other than seeing some clips here and there on social media of “Saved by the Bell”).

OMG, really into this already. This reminds me of a Disney show from like 2012 called "My Babysitter's a Vampire," and it had a similar vibe with witches and vampires, and crazy "villains" that they would accidentally create ( like turning the little sister's Barbie into a real-life person who was insane). Also, the lead actress, Malina, used to be in a different series called "A Series of Unfortunate Events" where she played the buttoned-up older sister who had to take care of her siblings now that they were orphans...meanwhile she was like 12. But really cool to see her again in such a different role!

The episodes are broken up into short parts unlike how it was aired on Freeform with the full 40ish minutes. So 2-3 episodes are like 1 actual full episode so some BTS might be tied together 😅 Overall, I really like this show and I can’t wait to see you watch this!!

Oh, that makes so much more sense why the episodes felt so strangely paced. I wish we got a 21 episode season length, while each episode was 40 minutes long. I like feeling like we get to breathe while watching a story. Like getting quiet moments, or a filler episode that we get more attached to the characters.
