I love to sing songs from Grease. My favourite is Those Magic Changes. It's from the musical show but wasn't included in the movie. Here's Jordan Fisher singing it during Grease Live. That would be a great watch party for you to do one day, SO many completely live performances. 😊 https://youtu.be/_pnL1quIayA

I know that it's not ~ cool ~ to stan Hamilton any more, but it is genuinely still my favorite musical. My favorite song is Wait For It - I truly think it is one of my favorite songs I've ever heard, it's basically scripture at this point, but I'll include a link to one of my other favorite songs, One Last Time, performed at the White House: https://youtu.be/uV4UpCq2azs Otherwise, I love Spring Awakening, Fun Home and Falsettos. This performance of "Ring of Keys" from Fun Home is so sweet - https://youtu.be/r--QpEoHv8s And there are so many great songs from Falsettos, it is a CHAOTIC musical, but I'm Breaking Down is just such an excellent comedic song. Here's the amazing Stephanie J. Block performing it - https://youtu.be/JYfgkCuLeVI

My favorite musical is either the original West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera, Newsies, or Hairspray. I have a hard time choosing between those because it can depend on my mood at the time.

Come From Away! I love Me and the Sky and it’s the biggest belty song from it - here’s a link to Alice Fearn from the London cast singing it: https://youtu.be/MaIvcZn9ntE but there are so many fun songs. You can watch the Broadway show on Apple TV, would love you to do a watch party for it! 💙💛

Keeping it classic... Les Misérables. In terms of mimicry, I'm especially tied to the original West End cast because that's the tape my sister and I wore out after we saw it back in the 80s. Michael Ball is the best emotional Marius. "A Little Fall of Rain" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyPy2Iqq-NM (with Michael Ball and Lea Salonga) I love RENT and Hamilton. Somewhat combining the two, I love this performance of "Light My Candle" from RENT with Renée Elise Goldsberry (aka Angelica Schuyler): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llSqY32vgiA

Lauren Wolfe

I love Phantom of the Opera so I sing all the songs from it along with YorkTown from Hamilton and every song from Six.

Moscato Debs

One of the very first musicals I ever saw was in grade school and it was the 1992 movie The Newsies! Particularly the song Seize The Day! So nostalgic for me! I also used to have the hugest crush on Christian Bale and Gabriel Damon!! I even had 2 pet rats named Christian and Gabriel, lol! I've never seen this show live so unsure if there's more/better links but here's the "Seize The Day" song from the movie! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLRKUCXzfHM Also like King of New York from the movie! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40brNNNsfYc

And Bare: A Pop Opera is definitely an underrated favorite with great songs like A Quiet Night At Home, All Grown Up and Promise.

Hands down "The Sound of Music". I've been known to burst into "My Favorite Things" whenever it's raining.. and my friends and I usually have to be silenced when we're rewatching the film (again) with someone who's never seen it before.. This summer I had the pleasure of introducing the movie to two friends from Germany, who because of the obvious subject matter, have never heard of it, they were both delighted with it, despite the obvious sigh when a certain flag appeared.. Since I know this is probably not what you were looking for - here's a video a that's "Musicals Adjacent". I listen to it every once in a while when I miss a good musical laugh of Kristin Chenoweth singing "Taylor the Latter Boy" Sorry for the low quality, it's still the best _performed_ version of this I could find https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7Q_FDxTkzo

Ok, so I really like the oldies, but that's mainly because growing up in Israel I was limited to whatever was either superb enough to be translated into a stage version (not many) or what my parents knew of from Hollywood (which meant I grew up with "The Pajama Game" (1954), but did not see "How to Succeed in Business Without Even Trying" until Schmigadoon pointed me in that direction.. ) As an adult I did a subscription to BroadwayHD which meant I now knew even more obscure musicals no one saw ("Daddy Long legs", anyone??) - so I'm just going to write some fun ones here, because I am having fun going down memory lane (refraining from things you've already reacted to). - Oklahoma! (can't get you to do a 3 hour watch party of the 1999 London production with Hugh Jackman, right?) basically anything from that show, but the song "O What a Beautiful Morning" has always been an uplifting nice experience for me and even though Jackman is amazing, there's a pop version with our boy Jeremy Jordan which is absolutely heartwarming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtnTaaLTTmw "Dead Girl Walking" - Heathers I actually think this musical is very problematic, but it's kind of meant to be that way..? anyway the songs are really good and nowhere is it better displayed by Ryan McCartan (the original JD) himself singing Dead Girl Walking as JD in the pronoun show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xBgryNhABY Chicago (film version) - basically anything in it is amazing, but my favorite is "We Both Reached For the Gun" - my brother and I would start singing "Understandable...comprehensible" whenever the other would explained something really ludicrous https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9dFKRZ8EbU "I Hate Man" - Kiss Me, Kate This is from a concert/performance of the london production stage version, it was filmed for the BBC, so not a bootleg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mihrLGKRZhA "Loneliness of Evening" - Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella The best version of this musical in my opinion is the 1997 Disney adaptation with Whitney Huston - but sadly this song (which is my favorite) was cut from it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Kj5uyXmduE "Seven and a Half Cents" - The Pajama Game Done by Seth Macfarlane, which is why I choose that one specifically, instead of "I'm not at all in love" - which is my most quotable perhaps. He has an amazing voice, which sadly not enough people talk about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKQL1rENZYE Aaaaaand I'm cutting myself off because this is already a manifesto..
