Hey everyone!

A new pack of mine was released on the Marketplace today, so I thought I’d show it to you! In the spirit of Y2K I made a teen bedroom set.

This one was a bit of a challenge for me because I wouldn’t say this aesthetic is really my thing. I wanted to avoid going for something too vibrantly pink, so I started thinking back to my teenage years in the 2000s. I ended up coming up with items I would have been happy to have as a teen.

Dominie

I really like it, very nice.

Nasnookla

Instant buy 💳💳💳

Aisitasthc

So sad that that beautiful bed is for the marketplace instead of for us here. Love ur work anyway, guess I'll have to buy it

ElliAntics

I made a commitment to not buying more EA since the buyout went through but I confess I'm glad I still had a bit of moola sitting around. This is gorgeous!

Will Lowry

This is genuinely one of the most gorgeous marketplace kits out there. Hope you make more!

Juliet

This is adorable, but I sadly can't justify buying from EA now that the sale has gone through. As a queer, bi woman, I don't want to fund the Saudi regime in any way, no matter how small. Maybe they'll sell off Maxis and The Sims. We can hope.

june

can you make one for patreon?

natalie ᰔ

ahhhh i don’t want to support marketplace but this is tooooo good and i wanna support you 😭 sigh 💳💳💥 take it

lorrielove

I agree with the sentiment that it sucks this is going to the marketplace. With the sale having gone through, I cannot ethically justify purchasing anything from them anymore. I do hope that marketplace creators second think their decision to partner with EA

OwlWolf

😍😍😍

strictlytea

It's really cute and I love your work and even used it in my Sims, but it's bummer that I have to buy something in order to use it. To bad you can't put here or on CurseForge.

vanille

no offense, but i don't feel comfortable supporting creators that work with the marketplace, sorry :(

Les Seifer

I was hoping you hadn’t pulled from the marketplace, your packs are really the only ones worth buying imo. This one is so perfect, I’m glad I still had 400 moola somehow!

Mod Foundry

The restrained Y2K direction works so well here—it feels nostalgic without being overly themed. Beautiful work!

Plumberry

Sadly it's for Marketplace, but I'll buy it anyway since you're my fav!

Sabrina

Can't buy because of Marketplace, but it is very pretty! I'm sure there are console playing who are happy to have this!

Sandra

Beautiful !! So sad that it is for the marketplace... It'll not be in my game. No more money for EA as many people.

VALIA

I absolutely understand! The best-case scenario would be if they sold The Sims, I think that would be the best outcome too.

LauraLore

I bought it, and I’m very happy to support you here too. I completely support your decision to create for the Marketplace as well. I don’t think every personal or professional decision needs to become a moral debate, especially when that debate ends up putting someone else’s choices under scrutiny and making them feel judged or guilty for doing what they feel is right for themselves. And since I’ve seen people saying they “don’t feel comfortable” supporting creators who choose to work with the Marketplace, I just wanted to say the opposite: I feel very comfortable supporting creators who are strong enough to make their own choices, follow their own path, and not allow other people’s opinions to dictate what they should or shouldn’t do. I really admire people who can separate things, stay true to themselves, and not let unnecessary comments or outside pressure shake their decisions. You put your time, creativity and work into what you make, and you absolutely deserve to decide where and how you want to share it. ❤️

VALIA

I understand, thank you for being honest.

VALIA

I'm gonna make new beds for the Charm'd collection when we're onto the interior.

Leigh Bennett

Valia, your huge, gentle heart shines through. You are so sweet to everyone and give grace no matter the comments and opinions. Thank you for giving the space for people to feel a passion and the need to express it. You deserve the same in return. I think all CC creators would agree that it's a struggle to straddle the wide range of personalities in the community. You are hands down one of the best creators in this market and also one of its most authentic and genuine people. I support you in everything you do. You are loved and appreciated!

liv

ive purchased this pack, love it so much!!

Mark Maria

Love this and bought it on the market place!! Why are we hurting small business owners just to try and stick it to billionaires? they will always be rich but these modders need to be supported!!

FadedSparks

This is truly beautiful! I love the bed and dresser, the details are top-notch. You're so creative.

VALIA

I respect your decision, and I really appreciate that you shared your opinion without being rude about it.

SiimplyJessica

It's actually a great price. Over the last few weeks I've been seeing the maker packs get bigger and bigger, some have upwards of 50 items. And this set seems have quite a bit of items as well so I don't know if EA contacted the creators and said to start putting more stuff in the packs, or put more stuff in and keep the price reasonable or what, but I like the direction the marketplace is heading if more creators are going to continue putting more items in the packs.. because then it makes it worth it for the price. rather than getting eight items for 400 or 600 moolah..not worth it in my mind, for any creator

Annelien Jacobs

I LOVE this set!! Built a new house just to use it. Thanks for the amazing CC xox

VALIA

Thank you! I appreciate it!

VALIA

Thank you! I understand. I would prefer if it could work like Patreon with early access so console players could get free CC too.

VALIA

Thank you so much! I plan to do something for this autumn.

VALIA

Thank you, I appreciate it, though if you don't feel like using the Marketplace I can understand that as well.

VALIA

Thank you! That was my goal with this one, I'm glad it translates.

VALIA

Thank you! I appreciate it!

VALIA

Don't feel obligated to use the Marketplace, I'm happy if you're here, I'm gonna do plenty of things here.

VALIA

Thank you, I appreciate it!

VALIA

Thank you for saying this! I can absolutely understand why someone doesn't support the Marketplace and me because of it. Everyone has their choice and opinion and even if it hurts, they have a right to say it. I don't really understand though why would people say mean and rude things to others when they can express their feelings in more intelligent ways, like the people here now which I appreciate very much. I don't expect everyone to support my decision or me, they have every right to stop following me. At the end of the day I know what this opportunity means to me and I'm happy I'm here and I can do what I do. The fact that I'm part of the Marketplace allows me to spend more time creating CC for my Patreon. So thank you again for being here and for you comment, it means a lot!

VALIA

Not gonna lie, your comment actually made me a little teary. It isn't easy and I wasn't really prepared to receive the negativity I received when the marketplace news came out because I am a person who always wants to please everyone. I had to realize I can't do that. What I can do is to be open for those who are kind enough to express their opinion in a mature way even if it's different from mine and to avoid the unwanted negativity.

suida

omg i love thisss

Hannah Magill

Beautiful work! The fate of Maxis and The Sims is so unknown-- hoping for the best outcome for such a beloved game. Keep doing what's right for you, I know console players are feeling lucky to get such great work from you!

Volkova Kohl

Thanks for this great kit; I bought it for my game on PS5 since there isn't much content, and I thought this one looked truly beautiful.

AmyWonderland92

I love your work, it's beautiful. BUT I cannot purchace anything else from The Sims. I'll happily support everything you post here, but The Sims are on my shit list. Looks stunning and I'm sad I can't get it, but I gotta stick to my guns xx

Jade Byrum

OMG the ceiling light is so cute! Could you include one like that in another patreon set? And maybe a similar bedframe?

Mermaid Victoria

Beautiful, I bought this on the Marketplace thank you for your lovely work.

Jacinda

This set is beautiful and I wish I could download it as many others wish. I will say though, what's also beautiful here is the sims 4 community taking a stand against EA's insatiable greed and refusing to turn a blind eye to how disturbing the new owners of the sims 4 are just because we want something as amazing as this bedroom set. These companies can only do what we allow them to do. They're chasing profits, the money in our pocket, we don't have to give it to them. As much as people may believe it's no big deal to just hand over money to EA, the fact that they sell us broken packs and have left the game as broken as it is now says otherwise. They keep doing it because people keep buying it. We're actively giving up leverage we could use to get better packs and a better functioning game or even have stopped that deal with the Saudi's from going through had more gamers from all EA games stood up and said no and kept the money in their pockets. But they know a large enough group of gamers are complacent, and will allow themselves to be taken advantage of if you give them something shiny enough to want to buy. We have to be better than that, and I'm happy to see so many people here realize that too.

Alice

lowkey gonna buy this as my first marketplace purchase because i need all of your items fr💝

Stefanie

I bought is yesterday, LOVE IT!! Thanks for sharing your talent!

VALIA

Thank you so much!

002405

ughhh it's so cute I want it so bad.. If only I had money LMAO I hope you get some good buyers from people who aren't participating in the boycott <3 I love all your stuff soso much I can't wait for the next public release!!

Ambradeluna

I LOVE that bed! Would definitly buy it via your patreon but not on EA Marketplace unfortunatly! Can't wait to see your next Charmed bedroom CC collection!

funguswoman

i wish that there was a way to buy it without going through EA, i would love for you to get paid for your beautiful work but cant support them

Eic De N

it's so cute and cozy! I got some moola this week as a gift and instantly, INSTANTLY, bought a pack you've made and it immediately made my game prettier. then I went on a little ingame VALIA-tour and showed my fiancé how every favourite piece of furniture is by you haha, ended it with "oh look, and now she's going to sleep in her VALIA-bed!" haha. you're crazy talented and I'm so excited for the upcoming sunroom set! <3

Hannah

i don't usually comment but i do want to tell you that i appreciate how hard you work and that I am sure many have been rude to you even though you don't deserve it for simply putting things on marketplace. I hope you never feel bad about earning a living, especially since your cc is always one of my favorites to download and to see in my game. <3

Sarah B.

I bought this immediately because I believe in supporting the content creators that I love! ( It goes well with everything else you released on marketplace, that I also bought! ;) )

Mama P Sims

oh wow this is adorable! Its a bummer that its for marketplace but I'm going to go ahead and buy it.

Katie Hacha

Happy to support you on the Marketplace as well as here!

VALIA

Thank you! I love this story, we love a supportive fiancé 😄

VALIA

Thank you for commenting, it really means a lot! I appreciate your support. ❤️ Thankfully people stopped being rude after the first wave and I'm glad that the people here who don't support the marketplace or creators who publish there are intelligent enough to articulate their opinion in a mature way. I can understand everybody's decision, the one thing I can't and won't is hatefulness.

VALIA

Thank you so much! ❤️

VALIA

Thank you, I appreciate it! 🩷

VALIA

Thank you so much! 🩷

Svidlova lova

This set is very beautiful. I’m glad to discover new creators through the marketplace!

Its very lovely , too bad that there isn't a version of the bed without the canopy. It would be perfect
