Hello Everyone!

I am super excited to share another free file today - our flake freebies! When I think winter, I think snow flakes. Whether it's catching snow flakes on your tongue or cutting paper snow flakes for decoration, snowflakes fill my winter experiences, so why not create some snowflake clickers!? I wanted this flake pack to have more of a classic snow flake feel and am super happy with how they've turned out! These come with both flat and raised options! Hope you have some fun with these! ❄️

⚠️LICENSE⚠️ This design is 100% FREE to print for personal use but the commercial rights are only available to active subscribers.

Check out all the other FREE files HERE!

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models have been tested with Kailh Bronze, White, Jade and White V2 clickers and the White clickers are my preferred option. I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).  A 7mm keyring file is included as well as a larger, 3.5mm diameter keyring hole to allow a beaded chain to be used!

This pack contains 6 unique base shapes with 1 face each for a total of 6 unique clickers! The caps are available in both a flat and raised option! Each base comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration.

Photo Colors 🎨

Pink - Cookiecad Pale Pink Elixir

Red - Cookiecad Ruby Red Elixir

Lighter Teal - Mika3d Silk Cyan

Darker Teal - Polymaker Starlight Neptune

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Flakes)

Everything else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design.

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

I love them!!! I saw you made them so they can be done on a single filament printer....what layer did you switch filament??

Pawpular Prints

Oooh! I am all for this idea! Just might not be right away! Lots of requests and not enough time..

Chelsea Ritter

Can someone share the Amazon link for the keychain chains that work best for the clickers? Please & thank you!

Pawpular Prints

Hi Chelsea! These are the bead chains I like to use: SANNIX 100Pcs Ball Beads Chain, Bulk Dog Tag Metal Chain, 4.72 Inch Ball Chain Keychains with Connectors for Hanging Christmas Decoration (Mixed Color) https://a.co/d/71nISTY

Chelsea Ritter

Thank you! Wanted to make sure I get the right size to fit the holes!

I'm guessing this bring best with the top vertical and the snowflake raised. Is that correct? My assumption is all of your photos look that way.

Bubbly 3D

I can’t figure out how to connect them can someone help me😅

Pawpular Prints

Sure thing! I just need some more information. What are you having problems with connecting?

Bubbly 3D

I printed the base in the cap and I don’t understand how they connect

Amanda

Can you share a basic tutorial on how to connect the clickers? And make them fit and stay?

Cristal Oakes

the bottoms of one don't print. You can see it when you slice the model.

Cristal Oakes

On the base 4-6 once you slice it the bottom is open and not closed.

Pawpular Prints

Hmm.. I tried to recreate this and I opened the Base 4-6 in Prusa Slicer and Bambu Slicer and as far as I can tell, the bases are closed like normal. What slicer are you using?

Cristal Oakes

Thats weird. Im using bambu. both times Ive opened it its been like that. The other set of bases was fine.

Thank you for the freebies! Just printed a flake to test them out. Came out great, need to adjust my slicer settings.

Pawpular Prints

I’m so happy you like the freebies! I know a lot of people just want to print these as hobbyists or for give-aways so want to have options! But also want some paid models so that those who pay get extra perks!! I thought the flakes would be a fun freebie for testing! And yep clickers do tend to need their own settings and even different materials may have differing clicker settings but once dialed in they should be easy peasy if we designed them right!

Xtrmgolfr

I'm planning on joining soon as you have the little test tubes and beakers. National Laboratory Professionals Week is in April and plan to sell some as swag. If you are able to add a blood drop that would be primo! Thank you again and look forward to the new designs.

I’m only getting one snowflake, not all of them

Pawpular Prints

All the snowflake caps are saved in the same file if I remember correctly!

Amy VanderLaan

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Everything I download I only get one file. I upload it to creality slicer and I only see one snowflake.

Amy VanderLaan

oop, just opened the zipped file on my laptop and it worked. It didn't work on my ipad for some reason. weird

Amy VanderLaan

I'm super excited to make these for my 8th graders!!!
