Hi again! πŸ‘‹ I released quite a few more generic St. Patrick's themed designs last year, but had to be sure to add to my library this year so settled on this Hats & Horseshoes pack to accompany last years Pawts/Pots of Gold, Shamrocks, and Beers! From the get-go, I've wanted to find the balance between 3D Models that I tend to consider more as desk fidgets and 2D models that I feel are fantastic key chains because of their durability, so decided to combine the two styles in this pack! I am super happy with how this pack turned out and think it adds perfectly to the existing library of St. Patrick's themed models! πŸ€πŸ§²πŸŽ©

⚠️Note: A few of you have asked and, YES! I will be updating last years St. Patrick's designs with the universal base - and there may be an additional twist on a couple of models! 🀫 I was just finishing those up when Cold/Flu season decided to kick my butt and Nick's.🀒 I'm hoping to get those finished up and released shortly!Updates

02-23-25: Updated the keychain hole on the horseshoe so the luck isn't falling out. Refined the clover on the hat for better printing and added standard keychain holes to the base of the hat. Added stem to horseshoe clovers and made sure the stem was pointing down for luck.

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).

This pack contains 2 unique base shapes and 5 unique sets of caps. Raised variants are offered where able. Each base comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration.

Photo Colors 🎨

Green - Elegoo Neon Green

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Clover)

Medium Detail (Horseshoe)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design (flat designs ONLY)

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! 🐾

How cute! My birthday is the day after so I've always loved st. Patrick's day!

Pawpular Prints

Ooh well happy early Birthday! St Patrick’s day is fun and having a bday near it would definitely be great reason to extra celebrate!

Thanks for the 4 leaf clover. I give 4 leaf clover items to my 4-H kids. A lot of people use 3 leaves, I can’t use those.

Will there be bases (or caps) for the hats to accommodate a ball chain or keychain etc?? Unless it's part of another pack and I can't find it πŸ˜‰

Pawpular Prints

I haven't been putting kelychains on the desktop fidgets. I don't feel like they would hold up well enough as they are so big

Is this St. Patrick Day hat going to have a keychain base? My son asked as we have been attaching these clickers to his backpack. I said this one might be like the puzzles and just too big for a keychain to support but wanted to reach out and ask you.

Catbeastaisha

I love this but I can hear my grandma's voice telling me the horseshoe is the wrong way because "it's letting all the luck out!" X)

Pawpular Prints

Yea. Someone else just mentioned we designed it all wrong too…. Oops! We can re-look at the horse shoes!

Julie

I was just going to comment same thing, horse shoe is upside down

Skye

You mentioned a universal base in this post, what is that?

Pawpular Prints

The universal base is our new base design that accepts a wider range of clickers like Gateron and CherryMX! The old base design only really worked for Kailh clickers. We still have some older models with the old base but those will be updated to the new base as we have the time!

I'm so happy to hear that! I was going crazy wondering what I did wrong on some older models, because I could not get my switches to fit no matter what I did. Can't wait for the updated models. Thanks!

Love these! Is there a keyring version of the hat base? I have a client that orders just the keyring versions and would love this one too. Ooh, I see your answer below. Thanks!

Pawpular Prints

Yes! This was just added today. Just re-download the files!

The Cults3D and MyMiniFactory hyperlinks both go to MyMiniFactory. I found it on Cults3D in your profile though!
