Hi Friends! It's time for our monthly freebie! We've had a few requests for clickers featuring first responders, and absolutely loved the idea. This pack includes clickers representing various roles within the first responder community. I'm excited to offer this as our freebie, as so many first responders are voluntary and deserve so much gratitude and recognition for the incredible work they doโ€”it's a role I know I couldnโ€™t take on myself! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš’

Quick Note: These do get a bit larger than our standard clickers as I wanted to have options with details - and ensure there was space for any customizations any of you may want to do!

โš ๏ธLICENSEโš ๏ธ This design is 100% FREE to print for personal use but the commercial rights are only available to active subscribers.

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).

This pack contains 4 unique base designs and 14 cap designs. Each base comes in the standard 7mm, 3.5mm diameter and blank keychain configuration.

Photo Colors ๐ŸŽจ

Red - Hatchbox True Red PLA

Blue - Overture Digital Blue PLA

Black - Overture Black PLA

White - Overture White PLA

Dark Gray - Overture Cement Gray PLA

Light Gray - Overture Light Gray PLA

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Letters)

Medium Detail (Symbols)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

I've also found hitting the print with a heat gun right before the main body color starts printing will eliminate any little strings that can cause blemishes on the final design (flat designs ONLY)

โš ๏ธWARNINGโš ๏ธ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Stay Pawsitive! ๐Ÿพ

Thank you for including 911 dispatchers!!! โค๏ธ

Love it! Any chance the vest could also have a Sheriff option?

Leanne

Is it possible to do a 999 version on the controller one for uk ๐Ÿ˜Š

Pawpular Prints

Weโ€™ll look into it! Might wait until we get asked for a few other countries and add them all at once! You can add text in the slicer as well if we donโ€™t get to it right away.

Nnnataliab Stewart

Any plans to do military service branches? I would love to be able to give these out at conventions to service people?

Agent Squirrel

You are amazing! Thank you! Including 911 dispatchers means so muchโ€”they truly are a lifeline, not just for callers but for those of us in EMS as well. Many people donโ€™t realize the vital role they play, and I appreciate you highlighting their impact.

Trisa Richard

These are wonderful! Thank you. โค๏ธ

Yazzle Dazzle

Sorry if this is obvious but why are there three bottoms for the police vest in the file?

Pawpular Prints

Hi! The bases are different keychain options. As long as I save them correctly. There should be a no keychain, small keychain (for jump rings), and larger keychain (for bead chains) option.

Lauren Katz

I'm garbage at that but I'll go to the discord ๐Ÿ˜†

It would be lovely to consider UK (and I'm sure others too)... I feel like small tweaks would mean they can be used all over the world. It just cuts off subscribers that's all from using it :-(

Pawpular Prints

Appreciate the feedback. Aside from the dispatch number are there other tweaks that would make them more usable for other countries? There were a ton of dispatch numbers when I looked them up so figured I would let people ask and update with any requests down the road once I knew the preferred numbers. I try to add variety but not so much variety it takes away time to focus on other designs. And you can absolutely use one of the blank caps to customize and make them your own as well!

I have problems converting the files to stl's I have done everything to elimiate the pause for filament changes because I only have a single filament printer, any suggestions? I have tried in orca and cura

Pawpular Prints

You should just be able to open the 3mf in Orca, right click on one of the pieces and choose the "Export as one STL" option!

IcySky121

Have you done anything for army or the militairy?

John H

How about Military or Medical?

Hailey

Need nursing ones โ™ฅ๏ธ

Jennie Ford

I had done that in the past but I am thinking I wasnt patient enough, I was able to get it with a little more work, sometimes leaving something to sit for a bit and coming back to it isnt a bad thing

Ronette Robinson

I just saw these and this is awesome. I printed some of your basic shapes for my co-workers within my ambulance company and they were a smash, this will be even better. THANK YOU

Michael Ruff

Creality is saying when I open the file that it doesn't support the .3mf file. But when I look at the files creality says it will open one of the files is a .3mf file. Why might this be a problem?

Pawpular Prints

Hey there! This is part in due to companies like Creality using modified forks of regular slicers, like Orca. I'd recommend making sure you are on the latest version of whatever slicer it is, and if it gives you an error, try to just hit ok! Usually it will still load the colors even if it says it's "incompatible!"
