When Nick released his D20 last month, it became pretty clear right away — clicky dice are very much a thing.

He was already planning a full Clicky Dice Series, but after the D20 launched, the requests started pouring in. So many people asked about completing the set that he decided to bump it up on the priority list — and now, the D12 is ready to go!

It’s a little smaller than the D20, includes caps numbered 1–12, and there’s even a rounded cap if you’re more into that smooth, clicky ball feel. Whether you're into fidgeting, collecting, or just like shiny, clicky things, this one’s a fun little addition. 🎲1️⃣2️⃣🎲

Click Twelve Multi-Pack can be found HERE!

Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).

This pack contains 1 unique base designs and 12 cap designs. There is no keychain option for this design. You need 12 bases, 20 hubs, 12 clickers and 12 caps to complete this design. There are two types of Hubs, one that is tapered and one that is not. The tapered one may be easier to install but the non-tapered one might hold better. There are also two types of bases to account for printer tolerances. If your printer is good at handling tight tolerances, use the Tight base. If your printer cannot handle tight tolerances, the standard version is for you. Note that some filaments may over/under extrude which could impact assembly. Due to tester feedback, two options for the bases were included. The standard base (Style B) has the caps sit the exact same height as the D20 but may be perceived as sitting higher because there are fewer sides on the D12. To fix this, a taller base (Style A) was created to make the caps appear to sit a litter further inside of the D12. Either style A/B will assemble correctly as long as you print the corresponding hub styles to match the base.

3D Printing Settings:

Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended)

External Perimeter (Outer Wall): 0.33mm (recommended)

First Layer Extrusion Width (Initial Layer Line Width): 0.35mm (recommended)

Only one wall on first layer: True (recommended)

Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized)

Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended for flat)

NOTE: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:

Small Detail (Numbers)

Everything Else (Base Colors)

⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker cap. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!

Oops! Minor errror on the image, it should be 12 buttons and hubs, not 20!

Rob

Look great! Might want to check your "customize everything" info sheet as the quantities seem wrong :)

I was about to say when I saw the discord but you guys already caught it. Lol faster than me

Alyssa

Yes! The D20 is so popular but out of some customers price range so this is a great alternative!

My gateron switches dont seem to want to be inserted into the flat caps. I havent had any issues with the pmodels previously. even the d20 works flawlessy with gateron switches

Pawpular Prints

Hmm, they aren't any different from previous models. Are you in the Discord? Some photos might help!

Olivier Sassine

i was able to get them in. The caps are def tighter (could be filament related). I had to use a press to force them in. But they are good now. I am making a couple more. ill update, maybe it was filament related

My D20’s all came out fine (the normal file not “tighter”) but the D12 are all loose, even the “tighter” file, any idea why? Or what I can change to fix? Maybe the xy contour?

Pawpular Prints

It could be filament related maybe? Upping the flow a tad might help

Curious. I know this one is extra crazy and it’s wayyyy more than a regular D10. But is an eventual D100 possibly gonna be a thing? I’d say something for like a 5th or a 10th year anniversary (whichever is closer/longer) to make one. Granted I’m a 1000% sucker for lots of clicky click clickers. Hehehe 🤭

Pawpular Prints

I know Nick is planning to attempt it one day but there's no guarantee it'll turn out! So.. maybe?

IcySky121

I have mixed in Bambu pla basic and matte with stock settings for the filament and everything is nice and snug. But I have noticed when I do pla basic it’s very snug and when I use matte it’s a little loose but not terrible

A maybe is way better than a not on the table. I wish Nick the best of luck and super appreciate what he’s doing as well as you too Ma’am! Legitimately I have plenty of people that have come back to me to buy more clickers because of how therapeutic that has been while they were driving or they were having an anxiety attack or needed a tool to help them calm down. They are so grateful for it and absolutely love your designs! Of course there’s totally also the side of people that just like the clicky click too ☺️

Andrea DeJong

Are the settings for the caps or the whole print?

Shelli Simpson-Tipton

Oh my gosh, the D12 is amazing although when I was putting it together, I swore there was no way I’m making another one. Now I want different colors. 🤣🤣🤣

Pawpular Prints

Just the caps! But it won't hurt anything if you use them on the bases as well

Scott

Printing from my Bambu A1 Combo is a lot looser on the hubs for the D12 than printing the same hubs on my Bambu H2D, seems to depend more on how precise your printer is.

Pawpular Prints

Yep, these are very tight tolerances. I've even noticed differences between different filaments on the same machine with the same gcode.
