Week 1 of the move. Starting to pack boxes and moving them into storage. Rooms need to be cleared out and there's a big mess to clean out!

Been there and done that, Have moved 18 times in almost 40 years. Sucks and hate when other people have to go through this.

Good luck with the move, hope everything goes smoothly! If I had to pack up my collection, I know I'd "waste" a lot of time just messing around with the stuff. Just admiring the box art or testing the systems, so I'd be able to tell if anything got damaged in shipping or if it was already broken ;-)

Did you ever get a hold of that Plextor PX708-UF drive to rip GD-ROMs? I tried it myself last summer for a while but only got several partial dumps.

You mention “this is coming with me” quite a lot, you are not planing to take your whole collection with you then? I hope everything is coming with you 😜 anyways, I hope everything goes as smooth as possible and it is fun to see some behind the scenes progress about your move 👍🏻

Good luck with the move! When I moved in 2007 I misplaced so of my "keep" boxes into the "junk" pile and ended up sending literally hundreds of disc and cartridges of various code to the tip. It still haunts me when I see the video of you ripping the Turok Cartridge because one of the games was an unfinished version of Turok Evolution from my Acclaim days. I even lost a box containing 300 copies of AFL Live Premiership Edition which were actually fully published with the wrong names linked up in the commentary so players names were all jumbled up hahaha
