Someone tell me if I actually posted this already, I searched and didn't see it which is weird because this was probably the one I would've posted first.

Anyway, if not, here's a rant on fantasy clichés ... I should do one on tropes ...

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this one. I am sick of elves being handsome, slender humans with pointy ears and dwarfs being short, stocky humans with a lot of hair. In my world elves are 2.5m tall, long-limbed, hermaphroditic, alienated creatures and dwarfes are called Geodes, are made of rock and have magma running through their body. Oh, and they have guns (medieval-fantasy).
