PASTEL Workshop DirectoryLESSON #1LESSON #2 LESSON #3

SUPPLIES:

An important note about supplies: below you’ll find a list of supplies I’ll be using — this should not suggest these are supplies I believe are imperative to purchase. They are simply the supplies I’m comfortable using. If you already have workable alternatives that you like using, that’s great, you don’t need to purchase anything. It’s also perfectly recommended to watch the lessons and only deciding what supplies to purchase once the workshop is completed, to then draw along with the recordings.

Supplies I’ll be using:

* Paper

* Clear Gesso

* How I use Clear Gesso to prepare my paper

* Pastel set

* Natural Willow Charcoal

* Kneaded Eraser

* Artist Tape

I will also be using a few additional pastel sets that I’ve collected over the years, they have fairly obscure brands and I couldn’t find links for them. The more pastels you have, the better, even if the quality is less-than-stellar.

So is this as good as using pastelmat? I've got panpastels, but I've not bought the pastelmat paper yet because it's sooo expensive

I have Strathmore pastelmat paper for which I do noticed it has a manufactured pattern on it 🤔, when I finish my work I always see that pattern through my artwork (which I dont like 😅) .... So, is it possible to put clear gesso on this type of paper? I am trying to use what I have now until its finish then buy the one you have ....
