I will try to lure my cat to be the weight of my plump line

Very interesting point about psychological distance, even though I am on the other side of the spectrum - the kind of person who is easily drained down by self criticism. Additionally, I notice as well people tend to associate the works of an artist with the artist him or herself as a person, moral dimension for example, which in my view are often not correlated.

Hi, great lesson!❤️ As a “self-taught” illustrator, I learned from books and online tutorials the way to draw people is to sketch them in 3D first, so I tried learning anatomy to better understand. However, this lesson is mostly 2D lines and shapes. Is this because this lesson is for realistic drawings and 3D sketches are for cartoons? What’s the difference between 2D vs 3D initial sketches?

Why is a master painting a better reference than a high res photograph?

This video was golden. Very easy to understand. Really appreciate it. This really motivated me to just get started. Thank you.

Ken- something is wrong with playback of 2022 Fundamentals of Proportion. Stopped at 4:57 and also earlier and can’t play it any more forward. Want to watch in prep for upcoming workshop.

Laetitia G

My gosh this exercise is more complicated than it looks like. Simplifying shapes is a skill that I need to learn. Thanks for the lesson

This is an amazing lecture, thank you!!

This was such a great workshop - caught the recording and while I’ve seen some of these concepts before you really bring the points home. So glad for questions too - discord server! Hope to watch live on Tues.

Ken, I had an instructor who taught us to use a proportional divider. Have you ever used on, and if so, what are your thoughts on using them?

Paul ward

THank you Ken. Great work and advice I now have a homemade plumb line!
