She blinks, surprised at your boldness, then laughs softly, stepping closer.

Unknown Lady: 'Sharing the crime, huh? That's one way to stay out of trouble.'

She plucks a crumb from your hand and tastes it.

Unknown Lady: 'Hmm… sweet and not too heavy... Judging by your attire, you must be one of the kitchen staff?'

You nod, still a bit embarrassed from being caught red-handed.

You: 'Yeah, apprentice chef. And you’re…?'

Unknown Lady: 'Alice. Culinary instructor at the academy across town. I brought my class here to tour the restaurant today, and to have lunch.'

Alice pauses for a second.

Alice: 'Guess I'll have to tell them their dessert went missing.'

She smiles teasingly.
