House of Alphas Chapter 63: Chi Village (Patreon)
Content
The morning wind was a lot harsher on you when treading down the mountain.
The Chi village was barely awakening as you entered, but once the people saw your alphas and Yu it set off a chain reaction of excitement. You were getting used to people giving your alphas the celebrity treatment. It didn't quite bother you to not receive such attention for yourself, you weren't really one for the limelight anyhow.
“Alphas!” The clamorous uproar awakened more of the village as others ran out of their homes to greet you all with excitement.
Your alphas gave small gestures of acknowledgment- it seemed they didn't care much either. Well except Gojo, he liked to have attention but he was rather sleepy at the moment.
“Morning everyone!” Yu called cheerily as your horses trotted deeper into town.
You pass a large area with a burnt pile, your eyes are drawn to it. It looked to be the very fireplace you had seen last night.
“What did they burn?” You questioned curiously. It would appear there were miscellaneous things in the pile. All sorts of random scraps and pieces. Like jewelry and toys.
“It looks like they were casting away their belongings.” Getou murmured.
“Yes!” The one leading you into town spoke. He was the chief of the village, Yu had told you his name was Raj. His clothes along with the others looked to be of rags and scraps just like everyone else. His clothes didn't look anything like that of a chief. Perhaps they had burnt their finer things. Raj continued to explain why they held such a ceremony last night. “To ward off the curse we have sacrificed our most prized possessions!”
That seemed to check off your suspicion. The poor villagers were trying to find any means necessary to save themselves.
“Did it work?” Sukuna questioned as you all reached the chief's home, the other villagers waiting outside the gate.
The chief seemed taken aback by the question and you almost felt bad that Sukuna’s voice sounded so condescending. Like all their efforts were futile.
The woman with the chief, by the name of Julibea, stood up for her alpha, “It worked in ways that you wouldn’t understand. It brought you here did it not?”
You could feel the eye roll from Sukuna, but you spoke up before he could continue to berate the people for their actions. “May I look at your sick?”
The chief nodded, “By all means. You can take a look at myself and my partner. The entire town is sick.”
The woman nodded swiftly, “I believe it’s the water! It’s tainted! Has to be.”
Yu made a face, “Shoko already checked the water.”
“She-she doesn’t know anything, this is beyond her expertise!” The omega spoke with certainty.
“My people drink the water too…” Yu countered.
“You get it from the top! We get the bottom of the leftovers!”
You follow the man and woman inside…seeing as they are not going to let anyone tell them otherwise. It was best to treat them as ill patients. Because they very well can be…but not in the way they think. Besides, if a whole town is saying they feel sick that should ring a whole lot of alarm bells. Even though it’s not obvious. It kind of irked you knowing that the Chi village wasn't properly taken care of. Its people could have scattered amongst the world turning into monsters at random. You know not much was done for them otherwise because no cure could ever be found for an illness with no symptoms. You will need to dig deeper. “What are your symptoms? How do you know you are sick?” You question while walking through their very bare home. Did they set fire to their couches and furniture too? Perhaps they did. The only thing available to sit was a clump of pillows and blankets.
Raj shook his head, “These are no normal signs. They are symptoms of the mind! It is nothing physical!”
You slowly nod, “Of course, please explain.”
The man growled, “Pah! It is nothing we can truly explain! It is just a feeling. We know it! We all know it! What more do you want me to say!”
“Pipe down.” Toji put a hand out as a warning, he didn’t like how the chief was speaking to you. “She’s trying to help so I suggest you show her respect or you are on your own.”
The alpha let out a little huff as he settled his tone, “Very well…I do apologize but I do not know how to describe to you what’s happening. Everyone believes we are crazy. I can see it in their eyes.” He gestured to Yu who made a slight noise. “…Especially after Shoko came to check on us no one believed us. It is clear this is a situation for no regular doctor, what we need is a priestess! We must be blessed! The demon must be cast out of us!”
“The priestess…” You looked toward Yu who shrugged. “…that is a good start too…”
“I’ve already sent them a message too, they have yet to respond.” Yu commented sounding tired of this back and forth. He must have been dealing with this village for quite some time. “They are rather busy…you have to give them time.”
“When did this all start?” You questioned.
The chief and his wife looked upon each other trying to figure out when it began. “Perhaps a month or two ago…It was slow… and gradual.”
Julibea added, “So it could have been before that but I'm not sure. Each passing moment feels like it's getting worse and worse. Like we are slowly forgetting things and ourselves.”
You fixed the two of them with a sorrowful expression, “I am so sorry to hear that…please let me…see if there is anything that I can perhaps see with my own eyes.” You touch your temples with your dark energy closing your eyes for a brief moment as you cast your all-seeing eyes spell with dark magic. You reopen them and find your vision changed drastically with everything in black and white. You didn't see anything right away…
“Well?” Julibea shifted uncomfortably, “What do you see?”
You spoke cautiously, “May I look upon you?”
Both of them were not afraid to remove their clothes- they had taken their top off and you had seen something. Raj’s mark was on his stomach while Julibea’s was up on her back.
“That’s not necessary...” you murmured as they went to remove the rest of their clothes.
“You see something?” Nanami questioned over your shoulder. He hadn't spotted a thing but by the way you were looking and leaning your head, he could only assume you did.
“Um…” You weren’t sure how to answer that, this could send the chief and his omega into a panic attack. They were already on the edge of psychotics so would telling them the truth cause more mayhem? “Getou…” You call upon your alpha, “Use your Vizi and tell me what you see.”
Getou cast the spell and then looked at the two, he hummed. “Two spots…much like your hand.”
The couple looked at each other with worry, “What is it!?”
“A curse!”
“Are we doomed?”
“Well not necessarily...I…see a symbol…” You spoke up. “May I have something to draw it?” You were handed a sheet of paper along with a feathered pen. You thanked whoever it was that provided you with the tools, but you were too focused to waver your gaze from the symbols. With a careful hand, you drew out the mark while speaking. “If we can… get to someone who knows about this mark then we can find a way to dispel it.” You finished, turning your vision off. “This is what I see…” You show everyone the crude-looking symbol with a bunch of hack marks on it. “Have you happened upon anything like it?”
The chief and his wife gasped while touching their skin as if they could feel the mark on their bodies, “No…What does it mean?”
Gojo released a low whistle, “Aye, would you look at that, you guys actually might be cursed.”
The horror of your patients’ reality crossed their faces as they looked even more frantic, “What-what do we do?”
Gojo just had to open his big mouth…
You tried to sound positive as you spoke, “Please, let us relax… I can-.” You began but your first choice of words only pissed them off.
“Relax?! How can we relax!?”
Sukuna growled at them, “I can make your problem go away permanently.”
“Alphas…please…” You glance at your angry men, “ They are just frightened…” You cleared your throat as you looked to finish your conversation. “As I was saying…I am headed to the priestess tower, I can let them know about your village and this symbol…perhaps they can help you and your people.”
Julibea looked as though she had already accepted her fate, “By then we could already be dead-“
Raj spoke above his wife. “That sounds wonderful prime omega thank you.”
You touched upon the woman’s hand, squeezing it gently, “I will be sure to move swiftly…I know how scary it is to have something unknown on you with not much you can do. Trust me… I understand more than you know.”
The omega furrowed her brows, “Have… you been condemned as well?”
“Sort of…” You nodded your head, “But I'm still on the journey to figure it out…and I plan on assisting you all too. That is my goal as prime omega.” You watched as Julibea seemed to calm down a bit after your words.
”Please… Save us…”
You gave her a soft smile, squeezing her hand. You were too afraid to make promises that you weren’t sure you could keep. You also didn’t have the heart to tell them that this symbol could very much turn them into a human-eating curse spirit.
~
Leaving the chief’s house you had cast your all-seeing vision so you could look upon the others. From what you could see most of them also bore the same mark and if you couldn't see it you were sure it was hidden under their clothing. You've never seen such a mark while playing the game. No one had dark energy to be able to cast such a spell. You could only assume that Mahito had placed the mark on the people by touching them. That's how he turned people into monsters. So if he had such an ability why did he put a phone on your hand instead of the monster mark? Again you questioned if it truly was Mahito who had put the cell phone on you. It was all a big mystery that needed to be solved.
This time… this time you can push for a cure. As much as you loved playing House of Alphas the Mc (bless Dove’s heart) and the alphas didn't really care about the people as much as you did. You noticed that they sort of lacked that sort of compassion. Don't get it wrong- they cared but not like this. If it were up to them they would have been just fine going home and waiting for the people to call to them for help.
You, however, preferred to be proactive than reactive. If you can do something, and it was within your power then you will do what you can. Luckily your alphas just want you to be happy so they are along for the ride.
They walked with you like your pack of guard dogs, always with you in the middle. Looking at their expression you could see some sleepiness in their poor eyes along with alertness. They were always at the ready no matter how tired they were. You moved they moved. You loved it to be honest. You never felt unsafe, like you had the best guards in the world right here protecting you and ready to do what was needed. You knew for a fact they would catch a grenade for you or whatever the hell was thrown at you.
Weren't you the luckiest omega alive.
“Why are you smiling so much?” Gojo mused.
Oops- forgot they were always looking at you.
“I can’t smile just to smile…” you tease as some eyes peered at you.
Getou chuckled, “Sometimes she has random moments where she laughs to herself.”
“I think Megumi said you talk to yourself often.”
“And there is nothing wrong with that!”
“I talk to myself all the time!” Haibara added with a thumbs up.
“I don't think that's healthy.”
“Anyways~.” you drawl changing the subject. It wasn't until you were out of the village did you decided to speak upon the serious matter at hand. “Yu… this entire village… I believe they are cursed… and if we don't do something they will transform into dangerous monsters.”
Yu was surprised by your statement, “What? How do you know?”
“Well… I'm not sure if that's what the mark will do… but I have a good feeling it is… my friend has been turned into a monster and it is partly the reason why we are on this journey.”
You could tell that the alpha was now worried, seeing as the villagers weren't just insane. He looked back with pinched brows, “What…what can I do for them?”
Breathing deeply you say, “There’s nothing we can do right now…but I need you to promise me you won't speak about this to anyone. It is important we keep this to ourselves for the time being. If I can speak to the high priestess then I can let them know what's happening and perhaps we can dispel the curse before they are triggered to transform.”
Haibara shifted uncomfortably, “Yeah but I need to do something, I can’t just sit around-”
“Haibara.” Nanami cut in, “Trust in our omega.”
“She will handle it.” Getou added.
You felt your heart warm from your alpha's reassuring words. Their faith in you was something you didn't realize you needed because sometimes you don't have faith in yourself. You felt proud to stand tall with the words of encouragement. Your eyes burning with drive. You hope the alpha could see how important this was to you.
He searches your eyes for a bit and even though Yu seems a bit unsure he smiles softly, “Ok… what do I need to do?”
“Make sure everyone quarantines until we get back. Don't let anyone in or out…let them know we will be getting a priest to come bless the village, hopefully that can sedate any unease...” You hope the elders would know what the symbol is and how to get rid of it.
Haibara gave you a salute, “Yes ma'am.”
“Good…Also…I appreciate your hospitality Haibara.” You thanked the alpha as you set up on your horses getting ready to go.
Yu beamed brightly, “Of course! You guys will have to stop by on your way back.” The sweet alpha grinned as he threw his leg over his horse. “Maybe Dove will be here!”
You look toward your alphas as you nod, “I’m sure we can swing by if it’s alright with my alphas…
“…I would definitely like to check on the Chi village as well.”
Toji nodded, “I don’t see any issue with it.”
Nanami voiced his opinion on the matter, “We will have to see where our journey takes us.” He gave you a little look that you had understood almost immediately.
It would be up to the next chain of action. What episode came next and what route you should follow. By the end of this little mission, you will hopefully be in Kobeq to take care of the second episode. You gave Nanami a soft smile loving how he kept in mind your secret undercover journey. You were happy they had put so much trust in you.
Yu was already fixing into a pout, “Ah I hope you guys can come back.”
Getou patted him on the shoulder, “Don’t fuss, we will come by if we can, and if not you could visit us.”
Yu seems excited by that statement, “Yes of course! We will all have to play Conquest together, with Dove.”
You couldn't help the girly giggle that left your lips, ”That would be most fun, I cant wait Haibara. Until next time.”
This time before you left you made sure to purchase the fuck everything repellent. Nanami cast the lamp barrier and then you were off.
You got further and further away but any time you looked back you could still see the alpha watching you go. He was such a golden retriever boy it was cute.
~
The further south you went the hotter it became. Soon you were wearing but a bralette and skirt while your alphas went shirtless.
Sometimes you hated how damn attractive they were, especially watching as they set up camp. Nanami found the perfect spot under the shade, away from the burning sun. Your blanket was laid out for you as you sat watching your alphas. Their muscles tensed nicely and any sheen of sweat that glistened upon their skin made your mouth water. Anywhere you moved your gaze you couldn't be free from those sexy beasts so you looked up into the trees, eyeing the lush leaves above.
To be honest you could just go over to either of them and just… grab them- you know they wouldn't mind- hell they would love it. Or you could just call one over. With a snap of your fingers, you could be in lust land. Being devoured beautifully... However, there was a lot that weighed on your mind. Sex was not your only concern. You had to worry about your mission to save the world among other things. The Chi village, Junpei, Mahito, Yuta… Kobeq, Haibara… and many many other things. There was just too much! Who had time to think about hot sexy sweaty alpha knots and cum and-fuck!
“I want to get lunch.” you spoke as you stood swiftly. Your dirty mind is annoying you.
Your alphas looked toward you with raised brows.
Toji looked confused, “If you are hungry princess we can get you food. What do you want?” He questioned as he threw down his tent, not even worried about it anymore…the call of his omega seemingly more important to him.
That damn caring daddy of yours.
You waved your hand at him, “No, I want to do it. It’s hard for me to track things… my nose sucks so I want to get better at it.”
“Why?” Gojo questioned.
Nanami released a light chuckle, “You know our omega likes to do things herself.”
“An omega that hunts.” Getou snorted at the very idea.
“What?” you shrug not knowing why that seemed so far-fetched. Where were all your strong independent omegas?
“Nothing sweetheart, it's cute that you like to do things yourself.”
You felt a little shy now as you shifted in your spot, “Well I think it would be beneficial for me to be a bit independent, even though I love you guys spoiling me I might become rotten.”
“We don't min-.”
“Tch- what? What are we supposed to do if she does everything herself.” Your white-haired alpha frowned. “She won't need us anymore.”
You let out a joyous laugh as you walked to Gojo, “I will always need my alphas, especially my troublemaker.” You kiss his cheek playfully then wave to no one in particular. “Come on time is wasting! Who’s gonna help me?”
“Isn't the answer obvious?” Sukuna sheaths his hunter knife already coming towards you.
“I will go too.” Toji volunteered. “ I got the best sense of smell after all.” he grinned tapping his nose.
Getou mused lightly, twirling his hair around a finger,“ Perhaps I should go so I can be a better hunter juuuuust in case Nanami tries to punish us again.”
Nanami gasped, “That was-”
“I might as well go too!” Gojo huffed cutting the blonde off, “I gotta be a good providing alpha for you!”
“You do provide Satoru!” You roll your eyes amid the conversation.
Your blonde brushed his hands upon his pants, “I will also attend. There's never no room for improvement.”
Sukuna growled, “What the hell are we all going!?”
You brighten up at the idea, ”Wait, that would be good! It would be like a training session!”
“Aawh-” Getou began to groan until you looked toward him. “-whhh I love those. So~ so much fun.” you could tell his earlier comment was said as a joke but you weren't gonna let him take it back!
“Great!” you clapped your hands together with an excited smile, ”Toji and Sukuna, lead the way.”
