House of Alphas Chapter 69: Headlock (Patreon)
Content
You paced the room back and forth, folding and folding your hands over and over again. Moving from one wall to the other. Stop. Pivot. Turn. Walk. Repeat. You’re alphas had yet to return and the longer you wait the more your anxiety spiked.
Your thoughts running wild, becoming harder to contain.
You hoped that your alphas would bring back good news. You prayed for it. But a part of you knew that they would not be able to convince the elders to drop their request… well in a way it seemed more like a demand… which further your belief that they would not be swayed.
They hated you.
They hated you before they even knew you.
They didn’t care what you had to say or what you had done… because you had dark AND light energy they wanted nothing to do with you. Why was that the case though? Utahime had said something about them fearing you but you would think having light magic would ease such worries. Complex… that’s how she described you. That’s how your alphas described you too. Your emotions… your mind and everything about you was complex to them. Perhaps that’s why the elders didn’t like you. You didn’t sit on the scale of black and white… if you had just dark energy then they could try to convert or shun you… but if you had just light energy then there were no problems… like Dove, there were no issues in the game… but both?
They can’t handle someone with both curse energy. You were neither all good nor all bad. But the dark energy came from Raven not you… could you possibly explain that?
Tch- fat chance. If you tried to explain that the dark energy was not yours and just the person you are controlling they would further flip their shit and scream witch so loud that glass around the world would shatter. The elders feared anything different and anything they couldn’t control.
“Ugh!” You slapped your hands upon your face as you stopped mid-pace. You let out a ferocious scream of frustration.
After getting that out of your system you continued on your path of madness… back and forth back and forth.
You had screamed as loud as you could, knowing that the sound barriers would make it so no one could hear you from outside. Whoever was following and listening to you. Having the ball trail you around was one thing… you’ve kind of forgotten its existence, and you know if you are in danger your alphas would come running just like they did when the priest attacked you. But having one of the temple’s worker drones follow you around was annoying and pissed you off. Any small thing you do they will run and report it to their master. You never even knew if they were around or not. You don't even know who was following you, it was just all of them.
The only person you could trust here was Yaga…and maybe Utahime… you haven’t pinned her yet…you would need more clarification from Gojo… she acted way different than in the game, it was a shock to your system…you didn’t want to say your hesitation of her was from jealousy.
She- rigged your test, but a small part of your brain that was trying to go for reason told you that it wasn’t her fault…it was theirs.
Stupid priests…
This was supposed to be an easy run-by. Pick up the spell and then make your way to the underground. Everything has changed so much for you compared to Dove’s visit here. Your test… the revelation of Utahime and Gojo… and that weird conversation you had with Yaga…
It would appear… there was more going on here than was originally seen… not even the game had revealed such secrets.
Again you felt as though… this was another event that was happening for a reason. Just like everything else… you had to be more critical of things that are not the same, that could be the key to canon events you were unaware of.
“Ok…” you breathed as you grabbed your dark energy. Do what you did for your test but with your other curse energy. Yaga knows something… something that he wants you to find out. Pulling your dark energy, you place it to your ears as you close your eyes to listen to it. You heard… what sounded like soft howling noises… or perhaps wind…it was a bit hard to explain. It was almost eerie but not too frightening….It was somehow kind of calming. Perhaps since it was your curse energy you were being biased about it.
You were about to pull your hands away but then you stopped, hearing something… it sounded like someone was whispering.
‘…’
No someone wasn’t whispering… someone was speaking, it was just far away. You move your hand away from your ears but you can’t hear the voice anymore. Bringing your hands back to your ears you can hear it again. It wasn’t coming from your curse energy it was coming from somewhere else. You move to follow the sound, going toward the door…. listening as best as you can. It was coming from outside. You could hear the haunting word echo down the hall someone was shouting it.
‘KELENAL!’
Kelenal? Was that a name? Or perhaps a spell? Who was saying it and why?
You were about to unlock the door but as soon as your hand touched the knob there was a loud knock upon the wood that made you yelp in surprise. You gathered yourself before opening the door a crack. Once you realized who it was you pushed it open.
Your alphas filed in one at a time… their marble expressions revealed nothing, yet everything at the same time.
Once you closed the door behind them Nanami spoke. “I'm sorry…”
The corner of your lips twitched as you gave them a lopsided smile, “Pieces of shit am I right?” you tried to joke to make light of the situation but Gojo couldn't handle it, he popped off with a crazy look in his eyes.
“Let’s just kill them! I'll blow em up! Make it quick!-”
“Satoru.” Getou’s tone was a bit stern, as if to say stop.
“No! Why are you telling me to stop?! This is bullshit!”
“If need be I'll fight them too.” Toji surprisingly agreed instead of trying to be the voice of reason. But you knew his daddy instincts wanted to protect you he couldn't help it. He would throw everything out the window for you.
And that's why this was so difficult.
“Guys…” you shook your head, “…we aren't strong enough…” they barely peaked ultimate status…at least you weren’t sure who had their ultimate. It was hard to tell how many experience points you gathered when there was no marker to tell you and no number. You all had to be at least 20 and up which is way higher than you should be for episode two but probably not high enough to attack a whole temple of devoted light mages and monks.
“Says who?” Sukuna scoffed.
Well, he's strong but not everyone. You didn't want to lose anyone. You didn't even want to chance it. You don't want a grueling fight, you want a wipeout, you want a one-sided battle where it was obvious who was stronger. There wasn't a chance in the shadowlands that you would have your alphas fight this entire temple.
Now was not the time.
“Perhaps if we plan a sneak attack?” Nanami your level-headed alpha wasn't even immune to being blinded by his daddyfied heart.
Why was it that in some video games, you were allowed to fight things you were nowhere near ready? Like why do the characters rarely say hell no? This… this is why.
You let out a little laugh at your thoughts, “I will be fine guys… besides, they do die in the story remember? We don't really need to do anything, karma will come back for them.”
“I hope their death is deserving.” Nanami spoke with disdain.
You couldn't help but release another laugh at your sassy blonde, despite the pending doom that was coming for you. You couldn't believe how warm your alphas made you feel. In truth you were scared… but also kind of alright… you had them by your side.
You nod at Nanami’s comment, “Yes, they actually are found within their very sun room…torn apart limb from limb, a bloody sight I read…and the grand fart was injured so bad he was put into a coma that not even Utahime could heal.”
“Brutal.” Sukuna nodded, enjoying that very image.
“What could have done that?” Toji questioned.
“Sounds like me from the sound of it.” Sukuna snorted.
“Actually no haha… A vengeful spirit named Kushisake-onna. We hunt her down afterward and Getou captures it to use in his arsenal.” you point to your alpha but you notice he looks confused.
“Kushisake-onna?” Getou and Gojo exchange glances, “that's who kills them?”
“Yeah, I know she's pretty scary but we can handle her later.” you shrug as the alpha nods rather slowly.
“Right…” Getou drawls, “…so when is that? How strong are we around that time?”
“Uhm… it's near the end of the story… I want to say it's right before the last boss.”
Gojo jumped in this time, “By any chance do you think we can get as strong as that before then? Like if we train really hard?”
You looked almost surprised by their sudden interest in training, all for one vengeful spirit? You didn't even think she was that tough, nothing like Rika. Perhaps because you fight her after you have a shit ton of gear.
“You guys are serious about this one huh?” Toji hummed, even he was a bit surprised by their need for power.
“Well yeah, if we were strong enough we could have fucked this place up without our omega being worried about us.” Getou grumbled.
Gojo nodded, “I don't appreciate being at the mercy of someone else especially when it comes to my omega. The fun part about being the strongest is that I can do whatever the hell I want. I'd like to keep it that way…i thought we had trained enough… but we are clearly not there yet.”
First off you don't think you've ever seen such a dark expression on your silly alphas' faces. They looked like they were ready to murder everyone. Second off ahh~ they do care about you… in a very yandere way. Should you be afraid for the world?
You smiled lightly, “Well we are much stronger now at this time then you were in the story…you know what I mean? So you are stronger just not… blow them up strong… I guess its me… I just don't want any of you getting hurt it would be a very close battle and we would be putting a target on our backs if people were to find out about our massacre of such a holy place. So we aren’t tyrant powerful.” you chuckle lightly. “…and there are people here that don't deserve such wrath… they are just ignorant…” You drifted off as no one spoke.
You will let them use this day as motivation. Just like how Hakari humbled them this will be another humbling lesson for them to strive for greatness. They weren't weak by any means, they just aren't fuck the world strong.
You wondered if this would be a humbling lesson for you as well…
No way that old man definitely deserved that slap, but before you go balls to the wall you'll make sure your pack was strong enough to back up your explosion without the worry of anyone in your circle getting hurt.
Hmmm…Now you were starting to sound like a tyrant… powers for good powers for good…you will use your alpha pussy whipped powers for good.
“Would it be alright... If I'm not there…” Toji questioned.
You nodded, “Yes of course… none of you have to be there… actually I would rather you aren't.” Another round of silent nods went by. You forced a fmile on your lips. “I will be fine, I promise.”
~
You felt like you were about to be sacrificed.
Betas came for you not long after your conversation, seeking to wash you.
The elders had said something along the lines of washing away your sin.
You expected the betas to degrade and scorn you but they were rather silent. When they finally spoke they seemed hopeful for you to find the light. It was wild how they saw you in such a negative view…a stray omega who needs to be brought back on the beaten path. The cult mentality was downright terrifying. There was no speaking to someone who was so blind.
You kept your words to yourself, imagining the downfall of the priests. They must have truly pissed off that vengeful spirit to be massacred by her. The spirit was from an older time. A beautiful woman who was disfigured by her village due to their jealousy. She took her own life cursing those that destroyed it. Her anger and vengeance turned her into what she is today. If you were unlucky to come across her she would ask you a simple question, ‘Am I beautiful?’ no matter what you said you were doomed to be killed. If you said yes she would say you were lying and if you said no well she most certainly didn't like that answer either.
Your breath began to get shaky as you were clothed in a loose white robe. No bra or underwear. It really completed the virgin sacrifice feeling.
As soon as you step out you are met with Sukuna leaning against a pillar. He had his arms crossed, wrapping a rope around his hand as he watched the sunset. The betas bowed before him, then hurried along to leave you two, but you doubt they went far. They probably are hiding around the corner listening.
His red gaze was as stern as his voice. “Come.”
You moved toward him meeting his eyes.
“Keep your gaze away from mine unless I say otherwise. Hands.”
You let your head fall as you bring your wrists together. He unraveled the rope, your eyes were wide as if he had a slithering snake in his hand. Something so harmless on its own but terrifying within someone else's hands.
You were aware of this song and dance.
You go through it within the game countless times.
This was the Sukuna you came to know. He was mean and ruthless, demanding a submissive omega who bent to his will. Cramming and molding them to how he saw fit. Smirking sinisterly as he did it, chucking wickedly.
Yet he didn't do that to you… not to that extreme at least.
You never realized how differently he truly treated you… well, you knew but when it was so blatantly obvious it was always such a shock and made you feel like a schoolgirl again. Giggling about how the bad boy liked and changed for you. You don't know if he realized it or not but he was much… kinder. As kind as a Sukuna could be.
The way he moved the rope around your wrist, his long fingers twirling it around…it was mesmerizing. The man was certainly skilled in the arts of BDSM.
You were scared… but also strangely turned on by how aggressively sweet Sukuna tied your wrist. Was there something wrong with you? See? This right here is why the priests are scared of you.
You complicated ass bitch-
“Mm-” you let out a little noise of discomfort or pleasure - the line between the two was hella muddy- Sukuna had grabbed the end of the rope and pulled them, his fist tight and your wrist were snug. He slid a finger around to make sure it wasn't too tight or too loose.
You felt embarrassed by your conflicting lust.
You tried to distract yourself, “Do you know what kelenal means?”
Sukuna snatched your wrists, tugging you forward while walking, “Don’t speak unless spoken to, you should know better.”
You pressed your lips together, following along beside your alpha.
You were aware of what was required of you. It was silly of you to try to start up a conversation when you were supposed to be in trouble.
This shit sucked. You hated everything about this. You felt like you were being stripped of your dignity.
It helped to know that your alphas weren't truly upset with you, and all of this was fake. However, it only helped a little. You could hear the whispers from those who passed you by, and you could see the disdain in your mind... everyone in this forsaken place thought you were some disgraceful omega with no manners and undeserving of your alphas...that... that caused a knot in your belly. It was like those stupid people online who would comment on someone's relationship telling them they deserve better and could do better. Except this wasn't online this was in your face.
It was your life and theirs why do THEY care?
They were wrong...and you could do nothing about it.
You didn't know where you were going...each step caused that knot to get tighter and tighter.
You looked up to see you were walking toward a dome-shaped building that was surrounded by all sorts of flowers. Two guards stood out front, their gaze looked toward you with an expression of disgust.
Sukuna growled at you, "Put your head down, you have nothing to be proud of." You dropped your gaze to your feet as the two of you approached the guards. Sukuna was still speaking down upon you. "You have embarrassed your alphas enough."
You told yourself...He didn't mean that...Those were just mean words he said because the guards were here...but it didn't stop the tears from sprinkling from your eyes.
“Alpha.” the guards bowed as they opened the door.
You were let into the entryway of the building, a dark area where another door separated you from the main area. You could hear hushed commotion on the other side. Oh, Tengen... the reality of what was about to happen next caused a whimper to leave your throat. Through your watery gaze, you watched as Gojo’s shoes approached you but Sukuna was quick with his words.
"Don't." The alpha hissed under his breath, stopping the man from embracing you. "The guards are watching."
"Look at her-" Gojo ground his teeth, you could see his fist balled up tight, his knuckles turning white, and you could feel this cold heat coming off of him as if you had just opened your door to a blanket of fresh snow. Your skin felt prickly, you felt that similar anger like that time Sukuna found the slug witch at the party.
Gojo was about to snap.
"Gojo-"
"Satoru..." you whispered trying to stabilize your trembling voice. "...it's okay...it's all an act." You let out a pitiful giggle as your body and tears told a different story. It didn't take a specialists like Sukuna to know that you were downright lying. "...as your sexy commander, I-I command you to stand down ok...besides... I just might like it."
Sukuna let out a little snort while Gojo released a breath-through-your-nose kind of laugh.
"Fine...but..." The white-haired alpha ran a frustrated hand through his hair. "I...I thought I could handle this…I wanted to be here for you…but I might need to step out...or I just might..."
"That's okay...you can go Gojo. Thank you for considering me but I'm fine. Like I said I would rather you guys not be here.”
"..."
There was an awkward pause as your alpha stood there for a moment. You knew he wanted to kiss you but he couldn't. You swore to yourself that you would give him as many kisses as you could after this was done.
"Alright...try to go easy on her..." Gojo whispered as he moved by you. The door opened with a creak of light and then closed.
Sukuna moved to the other door, but then you uttered without thinking, "Are you-are you going to be gentle..." You were already sniffling, on the verge of a panic attack. There was a quietness that settled for far too long so you quickly took back what you said, "Never mind-never mind I-I don't want to know hm..." You were scared of his answer... or no answer... if he said nothing then that would have been answer enough.
You regretted asking him such a question. It was cruel of you to ask when you knew the priests were looking for a worthy punishment. Not a slap on the wrist... and not like any sexy discipline that may have been on your secret kink list... but like the ones the main character would receive in the game when you accidentally made the wrong choice. You just hoped that it wasn't going to be so bad. You hoped the anticipation was going to kill you more than the actual act.
If you drop in the middle of your punishment you would wish that all those assholes felt bad... but you doubt it... they wanted you dead or jailed forever for a damn slap to the face...hell probably for less... if you died you wouldn't be surprised if the people burst into song, dancing and singing about how no one mourns the wicked.
You were spiraling out of control at this point, but everything seemed to stop when Sukuna grabbed your throat, forcing you to look at him. To anyone watching they would have believed he was choking you and spewing angry words- his face was ferocious looking, eyes dark...
"Lu Marcie..."
Your breath hitched-
"...You aren't going in there to apologize to those fuck heads, you are going to apologize to me. Keep your focus on me. No one else but me. I am the one punishing you. Do you understand?"
You blinked a few times, trying to fight back the smile that threatened to cross your lips. Lu Marcie? LU MARCIE? WHO? YOU?! YOU LU MARCIE? HAHAHAHA! He said it! HE SAID IT!
Your lips wobbled, fresh tears gushing from your eyes- oh yeah the guards outside are probably like 'yeah let her have it!' but jokes on them because these tears you were crying? These were not sad tears or even frustrated tears... they were happy tears.
"Y-yes...yes sir..."
"Good-" He returned his attention back to the door as if he didn't just practically say he loved you. He was lucky you weren't anywhere else or dealing with anything else because you wouldn't have glossed over that so lightly. You would have been kicking your feet and twirling your hair while you teased him for saying he loved you in his own Sukuna way. "-also I don't know what the fuck Kelemal is we will talk about it later."
And he remembered what you asked...
If he wasn't the prettiest red flag you have ever seen.
