Chef Note: Happy Halloweeen! I get jump-scared by how much I type in one chapter sometimes lol. This chapter is close to 6k XD! Well, I hope you are hungry!

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆

You had never been so scared in your life.

You were downright terrified.

Stepping into the unknown.

Speaking with a man who had terrorized the very world you inhabit.

Well...not yet.

He hasn't made any moves.

Hasn't done...anything.

But now he wishes to speak with you?

Will this conversation start the war?

Start a chain of events you weren't ready for?

All of these things raced through your mind as you linked your mind with the supervillain.

The one who tormented everyone…simply because he was bored.

You had to be prepared for anything.

Boop~

Your world shifted, and the atmosphere began to surge forward as if you were going hyperspeed.

This had never happened on any of your calls, but before you could freak out, you blinked and found yourself standing in front of an ocean that stretched far and wide.

The water...didn't move...it was just… there…and your feet were upon dead grass.

Not that you could feel it.

You were on a still...beach...with lifeless grass in place of the sand.

It was eerie not to see the waves move and crash, but that's not all.

In the distance, a volcano stood dull; the fire inside had long since died. It looked like a mountain of charcoal. To the right, there were clumps of broken icebergs. Most of it had melted into barely anything. There were also grey particles that hung frozen in the air. Like you were in the middle of a dead storm.

Stuck in time.

The sky was dark, with no stars or moon in sight. There wasn't even any fog; it was just pitch-black above you. There was not a hint of light, but your eyes allowed you to see in the darkness.

You moved your hand to touch a speck of gray, but your hand had gone through it.

It was not disturbed.

Everything was just... so still.

And quiet...

A purple barrier bubbled around you, starting your timer, but there was no one here.

Where was your caller?

And what was this place?

"You answered.”

"!" You jolted at the booming voice that spoke to you. It sounded like it came from above. You looked up, searching for the speaker, but there was nothing in sight.

"A barrier?" The voice chuckled in amusement. "I'm not going to hurt you, Raven."

Your voice sounded timid as you shouted, "Who are you?" Your hand was on your forehead. You were ready to disconnect immediately.

You didn’t know you were going to come talk to a deity!

"You know who I am."

"Kenjaku?" You said with uncertainty.

"..." There was a bit of a pause before it talked. "...Neither you nor Choso have contacted me...I was getting worried."

Worried?

“…?” About you? Did he think you had your old memories? Did Mahito not tell him? Does he know what happened?

"Who healed you?" He questioned almost eagerly. "Or did Mei Mei's repression of your memories actually work?"

He does know.

"Is that why you called? To ask that?"

"I called to check up on you."

"Check up on me?" You almost snorted.

"I am your ally, Raven, not your enemy."

"Then who is?" You retorted swiftly. You didn't believe a word he said, but maybe if he pointed you in a direction, you could use that to your advantage.

The enemy of my enemy...

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you. You never did."

"Try me." You state with firmness.

"The one who had doomed you."

"You mean...the one that hurt me before you found me?"

"…N-no..." he almost sounded sad.

"Do you know who hurt me? And if not that person, then who?" You were confused and getting irritated. "If you are really here to help me, then stop speaking in riddles!"

"Hehe..." he let out a sleepy chuckle, seeming as if he were about to fall asleep any minute. "You completed the first step; I'm so proud of you little one...but your journey is not finished...find the book before the mating moon..."

You furrowed your brows. "What book?"

"The Dusk and Dawn. The one the witches are searching for."

"WHERE is this book! Do you have anything better to help me!" You shouted while throwing your hands around.

"It's within the old chapel. Only you and your bonded partner can open the gates."

"But where?"

"I do not know. You have the war chief who can help you."

"Oh my Tengen-"

"Do not speak that name within my presence!"

You jolted as the sky lit up with a thunderous red clap.

You may have seen something in the flash. You fell back in horror; the ground was shaking as if an earthquake hit. Your hands fell to catch yourself.

Then it stopped abruptly.

"Do tell my son to contact me sometime. How rude of him to take my supplies without much of a letter." His tone was now humorous. “Pups, I tell you.”

It was wild that he could display such a laid-back attitude when just a second ago he sounded like Zeus ready to strike you down.

You almost felt as though you weren't talking to Kenjaku.

"You hadn't helped me at all..." You murmured, "You just gave me more things to figure out!"

The man sighed. "You can make me the villain of your story, Raven, or you could find me as an ally. When you decide, give me a call; without the shield, I will tell you more. The choice is yours."

“How can I trust you?!”

“Have I given you a reason not to trust me?”

“What about the attack in Aika?”

“That was Mahito, I told him to stop. Pups can make mistakes can they not?”

“He mistakenly turned a village into monsters!?”

“Did you mistakenly massacre a village? Or was that planned?”

“…” You gasped. “…That…”

“You must be careful allowing dark magic to consume you, Raven. If you heed any of my warnings, remember that one…”

Your shield began to fizzle.

Due to the minute mark approaching.

"…Looks like our time is up."

Your call was disconnected, but not by your doing; it was by his.

He booped you out of the realm!

It didn't shell-shock you like when Choso drags you out, but it still surprised you to wake up lying in Suguru's arms.

"She's back-" someone gasped in relief.

"Baby, who is the most beautiful alpha in the world?" Gojo questioned as if your answer would determine if your mind was tampered with or not.

"Huh? All my alphas are." You said, sitting up.

"Dammit, we are losing her. She didn't say Satoru! I need a thunder shock to the heart stat!"

"Gojo, shut up!" Sukuna pushed the alpha out of the way, tossing him over the couch. "What happened?"

You clicked your tongue, eyes trailing to Choso. "I think I spoke with Kenjaku... he said he was my ally. And that I need to find the Dusk and Dawn book...in the old chapel...only my bonded partner and I can get into it..."

"An ally?'

"Old chapel?"

"Is this book the one Yuta is searching for?"

You nodded, "It is...he said so himself…”

"What bonded partner, though?"

"Doesn't matter if we can't even find the place."

"Are you sure you spoke with Kenjaku? What makes you think otherwise?”

Your alphas were going back and forth with questions; you tried to answer all of them in one go.

"He said I need to find the book before the mating moon... he didn't really tell me any more than that, but if I want to know more, I have to call him without a shield...I guess to show him I trust him...I don't know...the whole thing was weird. We weren't even in an astral plane; we were somewhere else, like outside, but if the world died... There was no light, no signs of movement or life. It was super creepy, and I didn't even see him! But I think I was talking to Kenjaku. He didn't deny it when I said his name, and he said he was worried about us." You gestured to Choso and yourself.

“He didn’t try to attack you…” Choso seemed pleased with this answer, but everyone else frowned.

“Sure not now, but this could be a trick.” Gojo said, popping up from behind the couch.

"How can we trust him? He doesn't give us a reason to." Toji stated in annoyance.

"Especially if your environment was different, that tells me he was able to manipulate the connection." Nanami stated.

You bit your lip in an anxious habit. "Not just that, but he ended our call. Right as the barrier dropped! If he really wanted to attack me, he could have done it within that second...so I don’t know, guys! I don’t know if anything I know about the game is true anymore!”

“…”

“The only thing that changed was you getting into our pack…”

“I believe that was my first mission… but now he wants me to find this book. He said he was proud of me. Told me to be careful with my dark magic…Like… like he sounded like he was talking to his daughter or something…I know that sounds fucked, but seriously I don’t know how else to explain this interaction.”

“Should you…connect with him without the barrier?” Choso blinked a few times; this was giving him hope that his father wasn’t the villain.

"She isn’t linking with him without a shield; he's deranged if he thinks we'd do that." Suguru shut that down quickly.

You slowly nodded, "I know...maybe I can message him if anything...but first things first...it seems I need to find this book...I don't know why, though...I wish I knew more!”

"What if he just wants it…" Satoru mused.

"Maybe..." You put your hands upon your face and let out a long, drawn-out groan. "He said I have the war chief to ask, but WHAT fucking war chief! Who is that? Why am I just bombarded with MORE issues! Why can't I just have ONE person to tell me what the fuck is going on without speaking in code! Just a flat -‘hey go here’ would be great!”

"We still have Magi Mama..." Satoru whispered.

“Mahoraga.” Sukuna corrected.

"...Ah ah- no way!" Toji shook his head.

"Wait..." Suguru began. "You might be right. Kenjaku said you have the war chief... He could be referring to Mahoraga. He calls himself a divine general. The Shikigami might actually know where the old chapel is...”

Your heart was heavy as he spoke. You hoped to Tengen he was wrong. But you felt he was right...

"One more thing…He...got mad when I said Tengen's name...really really mad.” You stated slowly.

Choso shrugged. "My father does not like the church or the witches...pretty sure he hates them all equally..."

"Maybe...he was referring to the priests being the villains...? He said I wouldn't believe him, but I can definitely see them as the bad guys." You said. "And the witches do suck, but not all of them...not enough to be the actual villains. Considering they die in the game. So I’d have to say the priests are it… or the thing… maybe…damn I should have asked him about that.”

Sukuna grunted. "Sure...there are other enemies…but that's not to say he is an ally.”

“We must tread cautiously." Getou finished.

"Right..."

"...”

“The old chapel…it’s where the boy in the story got his chains… maybe there are some clues about myself there…” Nanami added as he looked off into nothing. Hope filled his gaze.

“Then… there really isn’t a way around this. We have to face that monster…” You reached for Getou’s hand. “…I cannot lie… the thought… really terrifies me…”

“I know…” Suguru’s gaze softened; he squeezed your hand, his expression becoming determined. “…I won’t allow anything to happen to you. I swear.”

The room had gone a bit silent.

The others were just as uneasy…

Sukuna shifted. "If the two of you are going to fight Mahoraga, you have to beat me first."

"All of us.” Nanmi added, “We should make sure you are well-rounded to undergo any fight.”

You nodded. “We still have to get all our end game gear...we have some time, so let's focus on our other mission right now...that is coming up sooner than I’d like…"

“As long as we do it before the mating moon.” Gojo reminded you.

“Yes…”

Everything had to be taken care of before the mating moon.

A date that was supposed to fill you with joy only drowned you with dread the more you thought about it.

You had so much to do. And each new step opened up a hundred more quests…

When can you rest?

After the mating moon?!

"No...we have pressing matters that approach.”Your blonde stated.

Your brows furrowed. “What?”

“You need to focus on our date tomorrow...that's your next task." Nanami placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. "...The breaks in between are just as important, remember?"

You smiled, placing a hand over his. "I know...thank you, alpha..."

~

Your call with Kenjaku didn't go as poorly as it could have gone. He gave you more things to think about…

Was he truly an ally?

It wasn't unheard of for a religious cult-like group to be the main villains of a game, so perhaps...

Yet, you kept thinking back to the game: what was his goal? And what had changed now? What was he hoping to achieve? The game portrayed him as some bored villain. Now all of a sudden he was trying to save you? Now he wasn’t terrorizing people?

All because you got with the alphas?

Some things were true to the game… and some things weren’t…

Of all things to change, why did it seem like the entire plot shifted into something else?

Was this truly the real adventure?

The real journey…

All of this was overwhelming, but you tried to compartmentalize and focus on your date with Nanami.

Put your brain to rest.

Let your blonde take care of you.

The following day, you went for breakfast, eating something light with some tea on the side.

Nanami had to finish up a few things before the two of you were able to head out. Where? You didn't know.

You wanted to stop by the training ring before your departure.

On your way there, Uraume approached you.

"Good morning." You smiled at them.

"Is there something going on?" They asked instead of replying to your greeting. Their eyebrows furrowed with concern.

"What do you mean?"

They nodded their head outside. "Every moment they get, they are out there picking up a weapon, as if training for something..." They trailed off, looking toward you, "...I've heard a few things in passing...and I'm good at picking up on secrets...Is your pack alright? Are you alright?”

You looked outside, staring for a moment. "We are... And so am I… just got some things we have to sort out."

"Then let me help...I wish to lend you my strength." They knelt to the ground and bowed their head, "...I can be your chef, as well as your weapon. Please...wield me how you see fit."

You smiled at the omega, "Your ice power is very strong; I would love to have you fight by my side... However, do you think you can deal with them?" You asked in a teasing tone. You knew Uraume wouldn't mind being a part of another massacre. The hardest task would be them getting along with everyone else.

And not killing your pack…

Uraume looked up with a scowl. "I will manage." They sighed.

"Good, I will let the others know you will be joining us. Thank you, Uraume." You bowed politely.

"I won't let you down." They stood with determination.

You were forever grateful for the pack you were building.

You didn't think you could gather so many loyal members.

You filled the omega in, and just as you suspected, they were on board with your mission. They were more than willing to join the cause. The thing that surprised you was how pissed off they were that the Zenin family would cause you so much stress. You felt they’d do anything for you. They had developed an attachment to you rather than Sukuna.

That is something that had changed from the game, but it was the series of events that led to it.

You helped Miwa with the food… she became head chef… Uraume didn’t have the chance to cook for Sukuna… they ended up on a different path that ended them in the shit hole… You helped them escape.

Now you were here.

The butterfly effect was clear-cut and dry.

So what about Kenjaku? You were the one picked… Aika was attacked, but you stopped it from going further… The witches' massacre was also stopped… by you… Now there are no more attacks… and Kenjaku is now proud of you, trying to be your ally?

The events just didn’t connect and flow as nicely…

It didn’t make sense.

It was hard for you to focus on training with the others when your mind felt like it was constantly going like a hamster on a spinning wheel.

You don’t know how much time had gone by before Satoru swooped you up in his arms.

"What's going on?" you asked with a bit of a laugh. You were out of breath from sparring with Maki. The girl was fast and unbelievably flexible. The way she moved so fluidly was something you wanted to match. It reminded you of Tigress, except the omega used her legs more. Maki used her swords with a terrifying swiftness.

"Nanami is taking you away all weekend!" Gojo pouted, hugging you tight. "That's so fucking greedy!"

"Gojo! He told you you can stop by during visiting hours!" Suguru shouted as he stomped toward you with a group of betas. "Now let us get her ready!"

"Oh! All weekend?" You asked in surprise. You thought this was a date night, not a date weekend!

"Yes, your very own getaway. Let go of her." Suguru stated with a twitching smile, trying to pull you out of Gojo's hold.

"No, I can't be away from her that long!"

Suguru growled at the alpha. "Dammit Satoru I said let go!" he kicked the man, successfully freeing you.

"I can't believe you would be this rude! You are going to be whining too; this is going to suck!"

"I will be nearby, and I will be visiting at the allotted time. Let her enjoy this and stop being a spoiled brat." Getou rolled his eyes. "Come on, sweetheart, we gotta get you ready to go."

"It's ok, Satoru! We have our special date next week, and it sounds like you can come see me during our time. Oh!” You waved over your shoulder, "See you later, guys! Good luck with your training. I can't wait to see what you got on Monday!"

"I will be ten times stronger!" Yuji beamed brightly.

"Hopefully I make it to Monday." Inumaki spoke plainly.

"Don't kill Inumaki, guys!"

"We will try!"

"Bye, Raven. Have a good time!" they called to you as Suguru took you away with your arms linked.

Gojo huffed, trailing after.

"Alpha, don't pout so much." You said, patting his arm.

"Nanami has a strict schedule! We only have an hour to see you, for all of us! And then we have to leave-tell him to give us each an hour!"

Damn, one hour for them to come see you each day was kind of crazy...not that crazy, but for your fiends it was.

Kento was truly running a tight ship.

Before you could say anything, Suguru shooed him, "Stop, you are going to sour her mood, Satoru. This weekend isn't about you. It’s for her.”

That seemed to slap him straight. He looked almost shocked by the words and then crossed his arms. "Sorry, baby... I just think it's unfair for him to lock you down for like three days."

"You know why he gets this time." Suguru snipped.

You didn't understand what that meant, but you didn't push for details. "I'll make sure I spoil you plenty during our hour-long visit."

You had made it to your room, but before you had gone in with your entourage, you kissed Gojo and then slipped into the whirlwind of chaos.

Getou was directing the storm like he was working the set with a megaphone.

You were so shocked that they were going to such lengths to get you ready for a date. It felt a tad bit overkill, but who complained about getting pampered?

Next, they were fixing up your hair and makeup, doing your nails and your toes.

Then they put shades on you so you couldn't see.

You were in a dress, a ball gown dress, that much you could conclude. It was fluffy and flowy, very lightweight for you to move around in. You had these puffy sleeves on your arms that left your hands out. Your shoulders were bare. The corset hugged your breasts nicely with a perfect fit. And there was a small slit where your leg could stick out.

You felt like you were going to walk out onto a runway.

Your feet were lifted and placed in comfy heels.

"Alright, final touch..." Suguru stated. He was the one who stood in front of you. You felt something going into your hair.

You had a good guess what it was.

"Let her see."

You were able to finally remove the shades that blocked your gaze.

You blinked a few times to find your reflection looking beautifully back at you.

"Oh my..." You were stunned.

You looked like a queen.

You were right about the ball gown dress, but you didn't expect it to look so ethereal...golden sparkles mixed with stars were all around it, and you were dressed in your favorite color. The bust had gold bordering around the top and down the middle, and around your waist to accentuate your body.

"Suguru...woooow...this is amazing..." You moved to and fro, and sitting right on top of your head was a tiara to complete the look.

"I did a good job, didn't I?" He grinned.

"You did…I have no words...all of you did amazing. Thank you so much. Be sure you take care of them." You said, with a stern point.

"They will get taken care of, darling. Don't worry."

The betas smiled gleefully, happy you were so pleased with their work.

You were beyond pleased; you felt your eyes water, waving at your face so that you wouldn't mess up your makeup.

"We cast the setting spray prime omega; it's not going anywhere." Someone stepped up to hand you a cloth.

"Oh, wonderful, I love that!” You giggled, wiping at your eyes, not messing up an inch of your perfect face.

"Let us hurry; in Kento's world, we must be fifteen minutes early. Anything beyond that is late."

He grabbed your hand, and as you stepped forward, you noticed the golden heels that adorned your feet.

You felt like a true queen. You had to hold your head up for the crown that adorned you.

As you moved, you had onlookers complimenting you.

Momo sobbed, calling you beautiful. You actually didn't know that's what she said; Inumaki had to translate for you through the tears.

You were so excited now.

You will focus on yourself, focus on being happy.

You deserved this.

You made it out of the castle where your alphas were waiting at the bottom of the steps.

Nanami was dressed in a beautiful gold and blue suit that had him looking like a fine king. To be honest, he could make anything look great. He was standing next to his horse, which had on fancy gold armour.

It felt like the two of you were getting married and hitching a ride to your honeymoon!

You were giggling as you got closer to your men.

Your alphas had looked up at you as you stepped down the stairs with Suguru's help. You couldn't look at their awed expressions. It made you feel like you were going to trip and tumble like a snowball.

But when you finally made it to them, Suguru said, "Well?" Presenting you with a gesture.

"She looks-"

"Absolutely-"

"Beautiful..."

"Mm."

"And then he's there." Gojo pointed at your blonde.

That had a few laughs, but you waved them down. "Nanami looks absolutely handsome…Are you guys just upset because you only have an hour a day to come see me?"

And then they were silenced as Nanami smirked at their jealousy, “Choso, be sure to share that book while we are away.” There was that smug undertone.

“Understood.” Choso nodded, sneaking glances toward you while trying to be respectful to your alpha.

“My lady… this is for you…” Nanami pulled out a sparkly rosabelle that matched the color of your dress.

“How sweet of you~.” You were already feeling tingly as you took the flower and twirled it around your fingers. Giving it a little sniff, you hummed at the lovely smell.

“Looks like someone remembered.” Suguru chuckled.

“Momo made sure he didn’t forget.” Toji muttered, scratching the back of his head. “ I heard her screaming…”

“Behave while we are gone, boys.” You gave them each a goodbye kiss on the cheek, and then you grabbed Nanami’s hand so he could help you onto his horse.

Your alpha looked at the others with a hard glare. “I better not see a lick of smoke or hear any chaos while we are away. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yeeees, Nanami.”

“Do we get to visit today?”

“No, Satoru, that starts tomorrow and on Sunday. We will be back Monday morning. I trust you can handle that.”

“We will busy ourselves with training.”

“What am I going to do?” Toji questioned.

“You can reconstruct Midnight's book for me.”

“What if there is an emergency?”

That had your blonde heating up. “If you interrupt our time, it better be an emergency.”

Your alphas seemed to inwardly bicker with their eyes. It was obvious they were trying to figure out how they were going to busy themselves during your time away.

“Suguru is in charge while I’m gone!” Nanami added.

“Fuck that.”

“Sukuna, you are grounded.”

“Come on, guys, behave so she doesn't worry about us.” Toji chided them very lightly. Seeing as he gave you a handful of mental grey hairs with his contract.

You let out a little laugh, giving them your princess wave and a few air kisses.

“Take care of each other and my pack, please!”

Nanami snapped the reins, and you were off.

“I already miss you!” Gojo shouted.

“I love you!” You shouted back, and then you couldn’t see them anymore.

“They act as though they won’t see you.” Nanami sighed.

“You know you would behave just the same if you were in their shoes.” You grinned when he replied with a ‘hm’. As if saying, ‘I suppose you are right’.

You played with the beautiful rossabelle in your hand. As you spun it, it glittered like a million diamonds.

“As we leave town, let all your worries stay here. I do not want to see you thinking any more than you have to.”

You leaned back into your alpha. “Ok, I will relax.“

“Good. You can resume overthinking on Monday.”

You smiled as the horse trotted along, not in a hurry.

A good start to how you will spend your weekend.

Not in a hurry…

You will take your time and enjoy every second.

Push everything aside until you are ready to take them on again.

With a refreshed mind.

Piece by piece, you left your baggage behind.

Kenjaku…

Mahito…

The witches…

The priests…

That forsaken pack that you needed to murder…

You let them go for now, giving them away into the wind. Your body rocked side to side, your head resting against Nanami’s chest. You were safe in his arms.

Listening to the rhythmic clip-clop of the horse's hooves…you were lulled into quietness. And once you left the city into the open space of sand, you released a sigh.

Letting it all go.

For now.

“Would you like to get out any final words?” Nanami asked while passing the gates.

“No…I’m ready to enjoy our time together.”

You received a kiss on the top of your head. “I hope you will enjoy it. Momo helped me out.”

“She’s the best romantic coach known to mankind.”

“She refused to let me forget about the flower this time.” His chest rumbled with a light chuckle. “I fear she would have had my head.”

Your eyes fell a bit, even though your lip twitched up with a smile.

You had a flashback of your date with Toji and how he forgot to get you flowers. That part didn’t bother you. The night was perfect as it was… You couldn't help but think of the conversation he had with you in the boat about his past… how would you have felt if he told you then and there about the whole truth?

About his pups that he signed away?

What if you knew it from the start of the game?

Would you have loved him less?

No, that was impossible… You knew Toji strove to be a good alpha to you, but he needed to learn that a good alpha was also a good father. The two go hand in hand. You could not be with someone who doesn’t treat your pups with the love and affection they deserve.

If he cannot change, then maybe you won’t have pups with Toji.

Sometimes a man was better as a husband than a father, and maybe that was his situation. Yet your heart yearned for it. You’ve seen the way he was with the twins; he could be a good father. But it felt like he was only cosplaying as one for you. What if a pup would cause an issue in your relationship? What if the same thing happened with Sukuna? Are either of them ready to even be fathers?!

Should you just have zero pups- oop!

Your cheeks were squished by Nanami’s gloved fingers.

“Are you already disobeying me?”

“Nno…maybeh?” You spoke awkwardly.

Your alpha sighed, “Don’t turn our time together into a disciplinary experience.”

“I won’t! I’m done thinking, promise!” You lift your pinky above your head in an exaggerated fashion.

“I hope so, or next time I’ll just assume you want to be over my knee.” He spoke so casually as he twisted his pinky with yours.

The deal was sealed, but you looked up at him with a cheeky smile. “I suppose if it happens again, then I will have to assume I’m a sucker for your punishments.”

He released a soft snort, leaning down to kiss your lips, but he didn’t pull back far. “I can’t wait to have you all to myself.”

“I as well; you get very busy sometimes. This is a work-free weekend for you too, right?”

“I hope so.” He patted you gently.

You got comfortable, ready for your travels. Wherever you were going, it must not be far considering the slow pace of the horse.

You did end up getting out of your head and staring at the scenery as it shifted. There was soon an orange hue that cast over your path.

Highlighting a stone building that looked like a private Roman estate with an oasis in the middle of it.

“Is that where we are going?” You pointed in awe.

“No.”

“Oh…” You poked your lip out and then had to check to see if he was messing with you.

“…” The smile on his lips told you he was.

“Hey!” You shouted, having caught him in a fib.

“Apologies for messing with your sweetheart; this is our destination. I had it built specifically for you. Sometimes the town can get too loud... So if you ever need to get away, this isn’t too far.” He stated jumping off the horse he pulled you the rest of the way with the strap in his hand.

“Kento, I can’t believe you did this… for me…” You shook your head in disbelief.

“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you.”

Your heart felt so full, your mouth left hanging open as you stared in awe. The dress was made for you, and now this quiet space was created with you in mind.

You felt at peace.

You felt safe.

In this little bubble that Nanami created for you.

You looked at your alpha, who had a bright smile.

He could see that you really liked it.

And that made him smile so beautifully.

This kind of love was special. It was the kind of love that keeps giving. A never-ending cycle of affection and happiness… your smile made him smile… and your joy was his… and vice versa…this was the kind of love that had you ugly crying.

“!”

“Sweetheart?!” Nanami gasped in shock as you burst into tears. “If it’s horrible, I’ll have the guards tear it down and behead the one who-“

“No, no! It’s perfect, Kento! Be sure to take care of everyone involved!” You wiped your tears away with your hands, Kento handing you his embroidered handkerchief.

It’s funny that he always gives it to you and you always hand it right back. He never got one especially for you; for a thoughtful man like this to not get you one, you could only assume he just likes letting you use his handkerchief.

And then you were laughing, making him smile despite him not understanding your inner joke.

“You had me worried for a second.” He sighed in relief, helping you down.

“No worrying this weekend. You have to leave that behind too.”

“My only focus is you. Every second, every minute, and every hour. Even when I sleep. The day I stop worrying about you is the day I no longer exist. So I cannot make such a promise.” With that, he looked down upon you with an apologetic look in his gaze.

You could only stare at your alpha, shocked that he could say such words in a factual tone. Shocked that he could seem sorry for being the way he is. Like this was just as simple as breathing for him. Like it’s not a choice for him to always be worried about you.

Funny enough, that’s not what you were really talking about. But if he wanted to get into the finer details, you can!

You posture up, “And yet you think I don’t feel the same? How can I not keep worrying about all of you? Once again you act as though my emotions aren’t as strong as yours… I thought we weren’t being hypocritical anymore?”

He clicked his tongue. “I never said that. I’m more than aware; what you demand is up to you.”

His words were challenging.

He was admitting that he couldn’t even do as he said. This was a do-as-I-say, not-as-I-do situation…but he’s leaving room for you to fill.

“You said you would punish me for thinking too much… perhaps I will do the same to you.”

He chuckled, “That is only fair. Shall I also buy a collar?”

You choked on air- “Aye?!”

“I see you like that idea. I shall put in an order. What color should mine be?”

“Are you wanting this for me, or is this for you?!”

“…” He didn’t answer, opening the door for you to get inside.

“Kento?!”

"..." He tried to hide a blushing smile with his hand.

"Answer me at once!" You say, tugging on his elbow.

Sooner or later, you fear all of your men will be wearing sub collars!

Chef Note: I feel like you guys already know the others are not going to stay away completely! They said an HOUR?! That’s not enough! Gojo is the only one complaining, but he speaks what everyone else is feeling haha 😭🤣.

Time for some nice, well-needed fluff 🥹🖤

While the mystery of Kenjaku still lingers- is he a friend or foe .=.

What a bountiful meal in the middle of the AO3 famine. Thank you!

SadisticKiss

Hahah! I saw that! I had gone to check my other restaurant and was spooked for this Halloween season. The scariest thing to ever come to readers and writers lmao 😭! At least I can feed everyone in the kitchen 🥹🖤

Medusa

Yaaay Nanami fluff! I can’t believe this was 6k, they go so fast lol. Very cute chapter and I love that they get an entire weekend away. They need it so much. Happy Halloween! 🎃

Sherri

I’m reading this after a night out and I literally shed a tear of joy at the club because I was so excited to come home to this. Perfect Halloween! I am so happy Nanami is getting his time with MC! Why Kenjaku acting like he had personal beef with Tengen…is he also a god?? Also, Kenjaku asking MC who healed them…so there is another person that can heal us?? So many questions!!! I am theorizing it is Dove that is doing all of this, like maybe she was tired of being the Main Lead all of the time… Thank you so much for this chapter!

Ironfist Asuka

Great chapter chef 🥹 Kenjaku playing mind games...or maybe not?! V sus. Looking forward to our quality time w Kento (and the alloted hour for the other alphas 🤣!) 🥰

MelonCat

Kenjaku brought more questions than answers with that call 🤔 still don't trust him

Lady Saiya

I don't trust Kenjaku for a second. But his reaction to Tengen is interesting. I gotta know the lore behind that. 🤔 That bit about some men being good husbands but not good fathers is a good statement. Some like the idea of fatherhood or just want the title, but wouldn't necessarily be good in the role. It's an interesting thing to bring up and discuss in an omegaverse world. I hope we circle back to that later 😌 Sukuna! Look what you've started! Now everyone wants a sub collar! Not that I'm complaining but OMG!! (≧∇≦) Thanks for the amazing chapter, Chef 🩷
