You let out an awkward laugh, but then you felt something warm on your palm. It was for a fleeting second. it happened so quickly that you questioned if you had even felt it. Mahito pulled his hand back slotting them into his kimono sleeve, you took a swift glance at your hand but didn’t see anything. It must have been your imagination. “Are you ready to depart?”

You looked up in confusion, for a second you thought he was talking to you but then, a man walked up behind him, with black hair and a mustache. “Yes, we have a long way home.” Kenjaku spoke calmly in his dark purple and blue kimono. He then looked at you and bowed, “Congratulations Prime Omega, my apologies we have to leave your celebration so early.”

They are leaving? That’s wonderful news.

“No worries. Have a safe travel.” Have a safe travel?! You hope they fall off a cliff!

The two gave you one last nod before slowly walking past. You fixed your gaze forward, listening to their soft footfalls. You tried to keep your face blank but internally, you were screaming. The two main villains…right in front of you, and yet there is nothing you can do.

You quickly began to move down the hall, hands slightly trembling. They were the last-level bosses, and little old you were practically at the beginning of the story. Yes, you killed some monsters but you could barely fight a plant monster by yourself. In the game, you fight the two and their army of curses. With the team of alphas that you had trained, relentlessly. You were a woman of determination and an unhealthy obsession with what should have been fictional men. You made sure no one died, and you were more than prepared to dust the two, doing all the side quests and max-leveling everyone. Right here right now, it was like you were at level one, at the tippy top of a soon-to-be war. You did not have enough experience points and neither did they.

That thought was cynical yet funny at the same time. You let out a little laugh that sounded more like a pitiful whine. This wasn’t a game, this was real. You also couldn’t save. The idea of them and you dying was terrifying. You hadn’t felt fear like this before. The alcohol may have caused you to overreact but being an omega always makes your emotions ten times worse. You began to damn near run. Feeling uncomfortable. “Omega?” Getou questioned looking surprised that you screeched in such a way.

“G-Getou-“ you placed a hand over your rapidly beating heart, blinking your eyes. “Oh, you scared me.”

“I-“ he looked away with a light growl, covering his nose, “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to allow my alpha to take over… please don’t be afraid of me.”

You shook your head quickly, “No, you just startled me.” You tried to smile to make light of the situation, even though you sounded slightly out of breath. You couldn’t tell him it was Mahito and Kenjaku’s fault. Couldn’t tell him it was the impending doom that would soon fall upon you all-nope now was not a good time.

“I can smell you… hear your heart…you don’t have to lie.” His tone was slightly bitter, his gaze refusing to meet yours, just like during dinner. “It’s why you ran away, just say it.”

When did you run from him specifically? When you had to go to the bathroom? The man was seriously reaching. “Getou I was about to pee myself… and… I kind of psyched myself out…like I scared myself… I can get that way sometimes when I drink.”

“Hm.” Getou turned to walk away without much of another comment, “Let’s go before the others get restless.”

Getou didn’t believe you. You huff running in front of his path. “I’m not afraid of you!” You stomped your foot with a point of your finger to his chest.

“Is that so?” He questioned with a raised brow.

“Yes!”

You opened your mouth to say something- Ok- but why would you say that when you are trying to run away dummy- so you slowly closed your mouth then you opened it again to say -No way!- but why would you say that if you get stuck here you are fucked and would have to play the game that was now your reality.

Suguru rolled his eyes in your moment of confusion. “That’s what I thought.” With that, he walked around you.

You looked at his back gritting your teeth as he left. Not knowing what you should do. Placing your hands against the wall you leaned your forehead against it wanting to bang yourself back to your world or give yourself a nice concussion. What the hell were you doing? You let out a low groan. This whole situation was just so fucked up.

You returned to the party, and Gojo was quick to swoop in on you to introduce you to everyone.

That went on for a while, and then it was time for the games. They were simple carnival-like games. One was an interesting ball toss but with flying rings on fire. You had to throw the sparkly ball into the rings without touching the sides. If the ball touched the side it burst into sparkles with a loud pop that had people going ‘oooh’ in excitement. It was actually more fun to see the ball explode. Like little fireworks.

Surprisingly you had a good time, even though Sukuna was practically coaching you on the sidelines just like on the battlefield.

‘What was that?’ ‘You call that a throw?’ ‘Where are you aiming at?’ His face if he doesn’t shut up.

Dove cheered you on like the best friend who loved to watch you do anything.

It was like having two beings on your shoulder, one a devil and the other a sweet Angel.

Soon the playful game turned into a competition between Gojo and Sukuna. Both of them push the rings back further and further down the way. The two of them slung the balls like pitchers, making them fly faster than your eyes could follow. No one could compete with them besides Toji, but he didn’t want to get into the middle of it. He’d rather bet on who would win. Nanami seemed to glare at him. For good reason too. Toji liked to toss out money and Nanami did his best to compensate.

Gojo ended up winning and he boasted about it loudly.

As the crowd hooted and hollered at the finish of the sweaty match you made your way to Sukuna, with a little fake frown.

“Ah~ You didn’t win?” You had teased Sukuna who growled at you. He only lost by one point but you were going to rub his face in it. “Maybe you should have aimed for the hole.” That last sentence had him stomping off like a pouting child.

You giggled as he left, but the spot was soon replaced by Mei Mei. You steeled your lips into a line clearing your throat so you didn’t laugh like a hyena.

“Hello, Raven.” She spoke sipping her wine. The sweet smell let you know it was alcohol. You would not be blindsided again.

“Mei Mei.” You nodded your head.

She licked her lips as she looked you up and down, like she couldn’t believe the sight of you. “I don’t know how you pulled it off, but you found your way into the house.”

“So… it would seem…”

“A most… interesting plan… but…you did it.”

Plan? What plan? You didn’t plan any of this. So instead of answering you shrugged.

“You are a prime omega now, be sure to hold that title with the utmost respect. I taught you well but it seems you have forgotten a lot of it. You are terribly drunk and behaving quite unladylike… but what do I know anymore?”

If you didn’t know what a backhand compliment was you surely just got hit by one. “Maybe, what’s important is for you to teach the omegas to be themselves. That way they can find alphas that fit their personalities. If I acted the way you wanted I surely would not have got here.”

Mei Mei looked dumbfounded by your statement.

You didn’t want to burn any bridges so you added one last thing, “I thank you for all you have taught me, but I’ll do things my way.” But she still wasn’t off the hook.

“Very well…” Mei Mei, sipped her drink, “…Congratulations Raven.”

“What a night~.” Gojo stretched while the six of you went toward the main house. You tried to help clean up but the servants had shooed you away.

“Yes, it’s been a while since we’ve had such a celebration.” Nanami agreed. “Did you enjoy yourself?”

Considering all the things that happen you could safely say you did have a fun time, despite the run-in with the two villains. If that part was cut out it might have been perfect. You smiled at the alphas, “Yes… I did thank you… although I am sad to see Dove go.”

“Perhaps we can invite her over sometime.” Toji suggested.

Yeah, you would most certainly like that. Even though you kept telling yourself you would be leaving, you tried to live in the moment. “I would love that.” Stepping into the home, you paused in the hall taking a deep bow. “Goodnight my alphas.”
