I think I found out about Matt AND Daniel on Katie Halper, so maybe ep. 3? I’m an anthropology student and also have done archaeological field work, I am BEYOND elated you are talking about this!! Last year my final project was about the Levant (inspired by being Jewish and anti-Zionist), it was so crazy the things I discovered! Once you see it you can’t unsee it. Thank you for covering such a nuanced and little understood subject💜💜💜

Somehow I found this podcast as a result of the Two Nice Jewish Boys making that comment about how all Israelis would press a button killing all Palestinians given the opportunity. That was what motivated me to look for more information about what a place of wonder and whimsy Israel is. One of the only podcasts I've found without being referred to by someone else.

I am a historian. My primary focus is food history and its importance to culture (hence Israelis stealing Palestinian food and throwing away Yiddish traditions doubly enrages me). I am very glad I listened to this episode alone while I was driving because I was quite literally screaming in rage. ESPECIALLY that they destroy JEWISH artefacts to further their xenophobia. I really, really DESPISE Israel.

I heard about the pod from Emma on Majority Report playing one of Matt's Instagram reels (the "I'm bad now" one) while they were talking to Francesca. I don't think you had more than a few episodes out at the time, but I was hooked from the intro episode really. Fave episodes have been the Nora Barrows-Friedman episodes, hope you have her back on again in the future. Or anyone from e.i. coming for the first or additional times.
